Back in the day, our special forces would make visits to Libya ( cut phone lines near the shore, etc). Then they’d smoke a pack of Israeli cigarettes, and leave evidence, before departing in their rafts.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the Iranians have been covering their tracks with these various explosions.
