I wish Trump would have stayed out of this primary. I get that he is disappointed in Sessions’ terrible performance as AG; but if Sessions wins, Trump will then have to back Sessions after having trashed him in favor of his opponent. The bad blood could even turn Sessions into a never-Trumper on important Senate votes.

I sure dont see how Jeff Sessions can ever make up for the terrible things he allowed - even encouraged - to happen. I still recall a picture of Sessions with Comey laughing at a DC eatery.
I thought Sessions was a good guy at one time, but he authored a series of car wrecks with victims that still has not been mitigated or punished.
Sessions should retire and apologize for his complete lack of backbone and the legal travesties that led to.

I think Sessions is too much of a patriot to block POTUS policies or work against him in the Senate.

That last is the one worry that I have about Jeff. But I think that he is a genuine patriot and will do the right thing

Trump never lets the big picture get in the way of personal vanity. It’s who he is. Like pretty much anyone else, he’s a package deal - you take the good with the bad. And at this point, it’s not as if the GOP is going to change horses.

Sessions should have retired to some vegetable farm somewhere after his terrible performance as AG. Why do these people think they are entitled to be in the US Senate till they die?
We normal folks have to take compulsory retirement after a certain age
Just look at Grassley. He must be 90 years or something.

He has been a never-Trumper since he refused to resign as AG. Sessions was compromised as AG by the deep state. Sessions gave us Huber, who did nothing in 3 years investigating.
Sure Sessions was a good Senator but he got rolled when he hit the big time.
