Exactly! and he is going to shut down the entire State over 102 dead? He needs to be stopped before he does anymore harm. I am beginning to think he is a Democrat in disguise.

This is what I mean! We were told to stay away from our grandkids because we’re at risk age wise.....but, now they’re saying kids don’t spread the virus easily at all. I don’t believe anyone 😡

The guv is a scared cuck and doesn’t know how to read the statistics about this virus.

Hell yeah. He should get rid of all them fancy "experts" with their fancy education and experience in epidemiology and training at "elite" institutions and just monitor the flubros threads.

Everyone knows he doesn't have access to any brainpower in Texas.

Our county is mostly ignoring him.

Remember Texans, if Abbott runs for reelection, it will be in 2022.

Primary his behind.

I’m in Montgomery Country and everyone here has given Abbott the middle finger...and that includes the Sheriff and County Judge.

The majority of us that live in rural areas are ignoring los palabras de cono-it is tourist season, most of us work for ourselves-and we need the money brought here by the Summer people with 2nd homes on the river, the tourists who book rustic cabins and guest ranches, buy food, shop at our tourist traps, etc. It is obvious that tourists have brought the Wuhan virus here, since we only had 7 cases before the season started on Memorial day weekend-now there are 33-but only 9 active, no one has died, everyone recovered and most had few or no symptoms-so no hospital for most.

Many of us out here have had mild cases-no doc, no test but the obvious symptoms-and we appear to have some immunity now. Hardly anyone wears a mask-and most rural counties are doing the same-giving the finger to the control freaks and carrying on with the business of making a living. Texas has removed governors before-that was a century of more ago, but what has been done once can be done again...

Yes. Deaths are starting to spike. The people dying now were the people who got sick in late May when we had 1200-1400 cases a day. Now we have 11,000 cases a day. Back then there were 7 deaths a day. Now? Over 100-110. What do you think it will be in 4 weeks when 11,000 cases a day start to die (at the same rate 1200-1400 did)? We will be NYC. Our hospitals in the Houston area are full. That’s not the “media” that’s my brother in law who is an ICU nurse in the medical center, a good friend of mine from high school who is a surgeon there and several other friends who are doctors and nurses there (one an anesthesiologist, another a respiratory nurse, others are friends friends).

All of our county (Brazoria) ICU beds are full. We’ve been moving people out since April. That’s the data and some personal insight.

Also lots of New York plates down here, at least in the Houston/Conroe area.
Call me a tinfoil hat guy, but I still think those folks from the northeast are carriers.

What is going on in the Hospitals? Are Deaths spiking? Are hospitals being overrun?

And what if hospitals are being overrun? Is the answer house arrest forever? We've been there before, 2017/18 yet they act like its impossible to handle big numbers.

So what’s the solution?
Lock down and lose everything?
Stay working and maybe die?
We are on our own, the government folks from local to federal have punted.
They arent going to help, provide guidance, give accurate information, anything.
I dont know about you, but 600 a week wont cover my Bill’s, and if the last three months have taught me anything, it’s that we are flying solo through this.

This crap is never going away, unless Biden and Hillary steal the election. Then it will be forgotten on Nov. 4th.
