CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Fourteen people arrested during the police violence protests in Cincinnati will face felony charges. They are accused of trying to assault police or damaging and looting stores.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced the indictments on Thursday.
"I will defend a person's right to peaceably protest and I always will. But when individuals use that occasion to loot, attack our police and their equipment and damage private and personal property and public property, I'm done with them."
The 14 face a variety of charges including assault, breaking and entering and gun charges. Deters said none of those charges will be reduced or dismissed.
Deters singled out a few of them including Solomon Zellers who he said had a gun with an extended clip taken from him. Deters said he could have caused multiple injuries and/or deaths.
He also mentioned Justin Crum, who is accused of breaking into Saks twice in three days.
He said those who are charged were taking advantage of the situation.
"That's not protest, that's looting. It's not going to be tolerated by my office, I can tell you that."
Only Crum remains in jail. The rest are out on bond.
Is an extended clip illegal in Ohio?
Their photos should be plastered all over Cincinnati, letting people know who they are (once convicted). should have a warning to them on it, “We’ll be watching you”.
After jail time, let them sweat being “lectured” on the errors of their ways. I’ve heard that a Louisville Slugger bat makes a good lecturer. Just saying what I’ve heard.
I’m not Jewish, but I’m on board with all that.
Th. y mean that the protests were about police violence. It should have been, “during the protests over police violence”.
No. I think another story said he was arrested for carrying the pistol concealed without a permit.
Great ideas!
I expect to read a few weeks from now that a leftist judge dismissed all the charges.

“Peaceful Protesters” don’t carry firebombs and crowbars to tear open shop doors.

Obama is not happy his army is being held accountable.
No. I think another story said he was arrested for carrying the pistol concealed without a permit.
A felony seems harsh for that. I assume if it was open it would be no problem.

I like the way you think.
The Over the Rhine/Clifton area might be but pretty much all of the Cincinnati and surrounding area is conservative.
10 clip magazines are illegal.
