Maurene Comey being among the federal prosecutors on the case has raised eyebrows among NYPD detectives assigned to the task force. One detective close to the case told Los Angeles that appointing Comey, an Assistant U.S. Attorney with no experience in human trafficking cases and one with close ties to a bureau that’s come under fire for the handling of the Epstein case in Florida, has an air of “impropriety.” Comey was hired by the Southern District as a clerk in 2014, and became a prosecutor in 2015, an unusually short amount of time to be assigned one of the most high-profile investigations in the country.

Ever since I learned this was going to be tried in the Southern District of NY, I’ve felt the ultimate target for this investigation would be the President. Ms. Maxwell has everything to lose; does anyone here really believe that James Comey’s daughter (who has meteorically arisen as a DA assigned to this case) wouldn’t offer Maxwell a “get out of jail free card” to make up a story implicating President Trump? A well timed indictment just prior to the election is all they would need ...doesn’t have to lead to a conviction.
I pray to G*d almighty that true justice will come to the everyone involved in any kind of coverup.
