An Isle of Man radio host suspended for denying he had “white privilege” had been reinstated after the Free Speech Union went to bat for him.
Man, which is technically neither part of the United Kingdom nor a British Overseas Territory like the Falkland Islands but a semi-independent Crown Dependency tied to the British government through its historic relationship with the British Crown, was home to fewer than 200 people who identified as Black/Black British when its 2011 census was taken, along with 1,624 people who identified as Asian/Asian British, 354 people who identified as Other, and 748 people who identified as Mixed — less than 3.5 per cent of the population, all told.

Spent a couple of days on the Isle of Man in 1963 when we and another USAFE Base Team played an exhibition baseball game for the locals.
It was the first American Baseball the locals had ever seen and after the gme we were treated like super stars by the folks who asked us for autographs and wouldn’t let us spend a dime of our money when we went to the local Pubs that evening before going back to the UK the next day.
Pretty heady stuff for a bunch of kids back in the day.
LOL! Lived in London (Surbiton, Surrey) from 61-63 and visited Southend on Sea when I was in the Navy in ‘68. We had a GOOD time. First US ships to port there since WWII. We got treated really well.

They say “privilege” like it’s a bad thing, but want it for themselves. “Privilege” is only bad when white people have it.
Yup. Same thing in ‘68 in Southend. Even with VN going on. Lots of folks still around that remembered us saving their butts not long ago. Free food, free beer, free movies etc...

Why was he suspended for denying that his white privilege was reinstated, and when was his white privilege taken away in the first place?

Remember - he wasn’t suspended for having White Privilege reinstated, he was suspended for DENYING that he had White Privilege reinstated. Another example where the cover-up was worse than the crime.
