As coronavirus cases continue to surge across the country, students in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, have started throwing COVID-19 parties. The first attendee to become infected wins money, according to Tuscaloosa City Councilor Sonya McKinstry.

You are right on. I agree with you.
However, I will wear the mask to shop (mandatory) or if I were interacting with someone who would feel better if I did (the latter only happened once). I dont believe the mask helps much, but whatever.
We. Will. All. Be. Exposed. I would rather be exposed to covid in the Wild than to the hastily put together vaccine against it, and my vitamin d levels are so strong I wouldnt get the worst case. For all I know Ive had it and was asymptomatic. Fear is not good for wellness. Keep your spirits up and you will fight off exposure or get a lesser case.
“When I was young moms had mumps and chickenpox parties for kids. We got over it and were mostly immune for when we were older and at higher risk.”
When our guys, currently 50+ were babies, my wife the eternal RN hosted measles, mumps and chicken pox parties as per our ped, the chief of pediatrics in the county we lived in.
No one died. I won money from the other Dads by predicting our sons wouldn’t get mumps since no one on both sides of our families ever had the mumps. That was before the DNA science became know. It was based on what our Moms told us.
Decades later, all of the kids at these parties are still alive.
“You aint lying. I flat out refuse to wear a mask and I wont social distance. There is no running from covid as we will all get it eventually. I will not comply with the mind control and reject the new normal theyre trying (successfully, judging by many of these posts) to force upon all of us. If I die, I die.
Seeing lots of people here talk about how much freedom is worth dying for, and first thing they do is submit to the will of unelected authoritarians, meekly giving up their freedom in order to hopefully save themselves, which they wont because covid WILL find us all.
Flame suit on. Do your worst. Everything I said is true, and Im sure most of you know it.”
Completely agree,,and I am in the high risk group!!!!
“I would rather be exposed to covid in the Wild than to the hastily put together vaccine against it, and my vitamin d levels are so strong I wouldnt get the worst case. For all I know Ive had it and was asymptomatic.”
A hasty put together vaccine might be dangerous for us and any descendents after we get the vaccine, via airborne or genetic transportation.
I was never a drunk or a partier. But I did lots of things that were potentially deadly and/or stupid. My mother had a lead foot. I inherited it. I may have driven crazily. The roads between T-town and my hometown are bumpy. I knew which lane to be in and when. I may have raced friends. Ill never forget one friend racing down the construction lane on the interstate and coming to a quick halt as there was a big drop off where the concrete came to an end. Hes an engineer. His daddy was a world renowned heart surgeon. We werent very smart sometimes, but we had lots of clean fun.
Cheers to these young people for living life while they can. I hope they harness their energy and brains and build something great and that they use it for Gods glory.
I didn’t need a party to get both.
if we had let nature and the virus takes its course, we would have been thru the virus season by now....
I've been safe so far...
we should have let this pony run from the beginning....WE DID NOT SAVE ANYBODY .....
well said....
I hope they remember how to breed....maybe some freeper can show them.....
Hah. Ive done my part. One of my T-town babies has four of her own. Another has one on the way. Lord willing, there will be many more to come. :-)
Since I can’t walk around naked, the whole “I have the freedom to not wear stuff” thing sailed a long time ago.
I wear a mask because it makes other people comfortable, much the same reason I wear a shirt on the beach, to make other people comfortable. (well, and to avoid sunburn).
I don’t care if I get the virus, but I’m not trying to because it would be an inconvenience to have to sit out two weeks of work when I only have one week of sick leave.
You ain’t kidding. I had a mild case in my early 40’s and it was the worst I ever felt...of course could have also been being on a beach vacation consuming adult beverages, at the same time.
Well, its more fun than the Tide Pod challenge was.
Scientifically speaking, this is not a bad idea. Get coronavirus now while you’re young and healthy and get the antibodies to protect yourself later in life.
This is the next best thing to doing the actual best thing in a fight against a virus like CV19:
Instead of falsely scaring Americans into destroying America, we should have subsidized an extended Spring Break. Long enough to get them all infected, resolved and immune.
Kids have extremely little chance of being harmed by the virus themselves and even less chance of running into grandma on Daytona Beach in the spring.
Real men join the herd - while drinking, swimming and chasing real women!
Who needs mask Nazis and lifelong bureaucrat pseudo-docs when you have:
Herd Impunity!
How about next time ( should be in about 10 minutes ) we go on offense instead of all just pissing on Freedom and becoming Below-Ground Bidens?
I mean, what the hell did we come here for? Defeat the tyrant King for? Crush the blitzing Nazis for? Destroy the sneaky bastard Imperialists for?
We spent a great deal of men on those goals. Was it simply for a better, more equally distributed fear?
No gosh dammit, for FREEDOM!
Nobody achieves nor maintains a place in Freedom by playing defense.
We don't need no stinking vaccine. Thanks to God and His nature, we have the cure within the body America. Fighting this war by hiding our grandly divine resources of immunity is like fighting Hitler with rubber bullets fired by an army of recently retired statues.
Happy 4th!
Hold my fear... it's bottle rockets and beer!
Some people who survive end up with scarred lungs (fibrosis), amputated fingers and toes, and damaged hearts even though they're young. Long term damage is just now becoming apparent.
I don't look at it as a loss of freedom or being "controlled". I think it's just common sense trying my best not to get it as it'll likely mean death if I were to get a full viral load. And if I get it and pass it to my husband he'll almost certainly die considering his age and pre-existing conditions.
My hairdresser (no mask) exposed me last week and we're awaiting test results as we speak.
Matters not to me if you do or do not try to avoid the virus, just please stay away from people you could possibly kill.
Best I recall, Forrest Gump played for Bamer
Pea brains.
14 days in the hospital.
