Dallas leader seeks stay-at-home order
UPI ^ | June 29 2020 | ByDarryl Coote

In Texas, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins called on Gov. Greg Abbott to reinstitute stay-at-home orders and other strict measures to stop the spread of the deadly and infectious coronavirus as cases surge throughout the state.

In a letter dated Saturday, but released to the public on Sunday, Jenkins asked Abbott to reinstitute stay-at-home orders for a month, enforce universal mask-wearing and physical distancing through fines, limit events and reduce indoor gatherings to 10 people and outdoor events to 100, among a slew of other recommendations.

Dallas leader seeks stay-at-home order

UPI, as with all things libtard and from the enemedia, has a perverted definition of "leader". A leader would issue the order and then deal with the aftermath of the decision, whereas a pansified, Howdy Dowdy-looking libtard Jenkins "leads" by insisting the Governor issue the order so as to deflect any criticism that would follow. Leader... right.

Texas is not immune from the Democrat disease. The Democrats are fully entrenched in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

He’s admitting his constituents aren’t smart enough to take common sense measures without someone else mandating them.

I’m a big fan of darwin in these cases...

The Kung flu is not ‘deadly and infectious’ though it may be infectious. Everyone I know who had it here, in a small Kansas town in January, recovered.

“deadly”—not so much.

Truth. We have to overwhelm their “system” somehow, to the point they just give up.

Abbott should issue a stay at home order for Jenkins. Problems solved.

Have they increased testing allot in and around Dallas lately. Increased testing alone can account for a “surge” in “new cases”.

REGARDLESS

Get your eyes off of “new cases”. All that matters is the rate of deaths and are hospitalizations overwhelming the hospitals. No matter how many “cases”, if deaths do not skyrocket and the hospitals are not overwhelmed, then the virus is being well handled. The asymptomatic and not severe, not hospitalized cases (80-90% of cases) are not the problem.

The virus really is not that deadly. What a farce. If you’re under 80 and not in an old folks home, I’d worry a LOT more about the flu. Nobody is bringing the world to a halt over that.

I just took a jab at our Oregon democrat/communist governor Kate Brown on a post about Gilead’s overpriced drug.

So, I won’t have to bring up Oregon’s tyrannical communist governor here in a Dallas thread.

(I have family in Texas;)

I’m pretty sure they’re either Texas or Florida Governor or both have or did some limited changes. Nonetheless they are still changes.
I read that Texas has up to 5,000 people a day going to hospitals.

I am glad everything’s opening back up in New York. I ate outside of the restaurant the other day. And another week and a half inside will be open

“””I’m pretty sure they’re either Texas or Florida Governor or both have or did some limited changes”””

Both FL and TX Governors closed down the bars. Too many of the under 40 age crowd were getting infected and then the risk becomes one of the under 40 age crowd spreading th virus to someone who is vulnerable of having a bad outcome.

And I might also add the TX and FL Gov’s did not demand that Trump issue an order shutting down the bars in FL and TX.

Republican Gov’s take responsibility.

Jenkins has the authority to issue a 'stay at home' order himself.

Uh, no. He doesn't. Neither does the wimpy assed governor.

IMHO they are trying a slow roll back to a lock-down/SIP because their CV19 narrative is unraveling and loss of power that went with it. In California their asinine mask all the time/everywhere is a GUIDANCE (no force of law). There are many LEA refusing to enforce it and those who have not publicly refused to enforce do nothing (defacto refusal).

All the Gov. needs to do is declare a state of health emergency. That would have force of law and allow for enforcement but that means enforcement would have to occur during any “protest” as well. That would certainly spark a shooting war/revolt and no spineless politician wants that hung around his neck lest responsibility is replaced by a rope.

They should. Never give a sucker or idiot an even break. The sheep have shown that they want to be ruled and commanded by their owners and masters. So, By Cracky, rule and command them.
