An Englewood man is accused of killing two teenagers last weekend after they noted how tall he was while they bought candy at a gas station in South Shore.
Laroy Battle, 19, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and possession of a controlled substance, Deputy Chief Brendan Deenihan said at a news conference Thursday.
Jasean Francis, 17, and Charles Riley, 16, were “very good kids from really excellent families,” Deenihan said. They had gone to a gas station Saturday afternoon in the 7900 block of South Luella with a third friend to buy candy when they ran into Battle.

The shooter is a teenager too.
He’s 6’3” per the article. So pretty tall, but not unusually tall. My hubby is 6’5” and he once ran into basically the entire NY Knicks team coming out of some deli in NYC. He said he felt like a midget! Luckily nobody got shot!
We have a group in Jax called Parents of Murdered Children. They have a wall similar to the Vietnam memorial where all the names are inscribed. And I can tell you, probably not a one was “murdered” by a cop or even by a white person...but by their own “children.”
So where are theIr own parents, black ministers, BLM, etc?

I am 76 inches tall and 76 years old and on oxygen so I don’t get out much but I used to hear that question every day. The last time somebody asked, “How is the weather up there”, I didn’t skip a beat, just gave them a nasty grin and replied, “Great up here, how is it down around my ass?”

When ever I head out to my range in Jax on zambito rd I make sure I have an AR on deck. Every morning first thing I read is the news headlines to get the body count in Jax. Every article has same info: shooting at x am. No further details. Jax has something called shot spotter. It notifies police when a gun shot report occurred nearby. That is how bad it is. Happy live in Nassau county.
So...like....uh....how tall was he?
