I agree; this is a vicious virus. To that I would say--just don't go out to air conditioned bars packed with people. Continue getting your groceries delivered, and entertain in your backyard only with a small "Social Bubble" of your good friends who can sit a few feet away. There's no reason for more "lockdowns" if those in your situation would just semi self-quarantine temporarily. This too shall pass.

CFIDS has my immune system “up-regulated,” or working overtime. So I really don’t worry about it, even with my other problems.
I often forget that other people have very real, very worrisome problems and that COVID is a very real, very worrisome threat.

Houston had a 60,000 strong gathering for Floyd about 10 days ago. Mayor of Houston was adamant that that gathering is not responsible for the uptick in cases.
Now businesses have to close early or altogether.
There are billions, perhaps trillions, to be made on the vaccine even if it doesn't work...

Worldometer did not purge New Jersey’s phony deaths.
Worldometer did not report the number in their ‘new cases’ column-—but they did add it to New Jersey’s ‘total death’ column.
Weird, the positivity rate in north Dakota yesterday was 1%.
Wife and I were at a walk-in test site this morning to pick up our results from tests done on Sunday. BTW, both of us have not been infected.
A couple of observations while waiting in line:
1. The test site opens at 9am and does 200 tests per day.
2. We were there at 9:30 am and they already had enough people in line to do their 200 tests for the day.
3. Something like 90% of the people in line were under the age of 35.
4. Almost no old geezers like myself in line.
My conclusion is that the under 35 crowd is in a panic.
No hospital is going to do any elective operation on a CV positive patient.
They don’t want to be sued if ANYTHING goes wrong.
Any positives are sent home if asymptomatic or likely referred to an MD if symptomatic.
Beau had a dental appointment, yesterday. When you were in the lobby, you had to sanitize your hands and mask up. They took your temperature. He said everyone was basically in a Hazmat suit with full shield face masks and masks on under THAT.
Our COUNTY of 24K has had 21 positive cases, NO HOSPITALIZATIONS and NO DEATHS. Everyone recovered at home. NO Nursing Home cases. NONE.
This PlanDemic is working better than any of our ‘betters’ could’ve ever hoped for!

Similar experience. My wife went to get tested to be sure we were not infected. Both tested negative. The rest of the people there were hispanic and young. I heard a lot of them saying that they had to get tested for their jobs.
How many of those “cases” are of the mild or asymptomatic variety and how many are on respirators?
Actually very high. Only way you’re hearing crickets is if you’re holding them in your ears.
