Protesters say they took the statue down because they don’t feel the state is moving forward.
“We’re not moving forward, we’re moving backwards,” said Ebony Anderson-Carter. “This (statue) doesn’t need to be here until we’re ready to move forward.”
Anderson-Carter says she and the other protesters want to see something done about racial injustice in the state, and speak with the state’s Black youth.
“The Capitol is where we solve problems, and nobody’s coming here to solve problems,” said Anderson-Carter.

This is a statue of an abolitionist who gave his life in the Civil War after coming here from Norway for the cause. There are no artifacts that are safe from these monsters.

Here in Natchez MS, someone toppled the Turning Angel Statue at the City Cemetery. It was erected to commemorate five young Girls who were killed in a Natural Gas Explosion in 1908.
I don’t know if any of them were Slave Owners or Trump Voters

The protests started by the police death of George Floyd have become a socialist, anarchistic, anti-American mob frenzy. Last night a mob tried to break into the locked Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. Thwarted, they dragged down two statues outside, The statue “Forward” (state motto) represented by a female in classical dress and one of Civil War officer Col. Hans Christian Heg. Heg had come to Wisconsin from Norway, raised and led a US militia unit and died at the battle of Chickamauga. Neither statue was connected to any act of oppression of Blacks other than being a White person.
Actually LBJ was on the right track after he read the Moynihan report on the status of the “Negro Family” in 1965. He gave a speech in support of changing this deterioration.
The race hustlers at the time branded Moynihan and others as racists blaming the victims. That redirected the Great Society toward the hustlers and their groups that wanted to distribute the money. The Moynihan report was right. Johnson was right but the powers that were in charge of the civil rights movement and the Congress then, killed the report and the ideas in it.
The family problem is much worse now and it has spread to the white population as well.
