I like the inclusion of social-science academic jargon. Shows this person is the real deal.
I find this to be one of the best treatises on the situation many conservative professors and possibly even non-conservative professors and professional people find themselves in throughout America. It described exactly what is happening in a culture where speaking the truth is vilified and the speaker is pilloried and run out of town by the mob, if not worse. Economic ruin is a distinct possibility and certainly the complete social shunning of peers is going to occur should they not toe the line to the leftist agenda.
It shouldn’t affect the strength of my argument above, but for the record, I write as a person of color.

it seems in a few places that the writer is definitely talking about the history department, but maybe in other places not?
if it is a conservative (or quiet...) historian of color, then yah, that’s going to be like one person
