A Navarre High School teacher has been arrested after she allegedly had sex with one of her students at the school last summer.
Meghan Mary Rodriguez, 37, was arrested Thursday and charged with sexual assault. She was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.
Rodriguez quit her job with Santa Rosa County School District on May 28, according to Connie Carnley, the school district’s assistant superintendent for human resources.
“It was under investigation, and she chose to leave our employment,” Carnley said.
According to Rodriguez’s arrest report, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip on March 3 that Rodriguez had sex with one of her 17-year-old students last summer.
When law enforcement interviewed the student, he said frequent, platonic text message conversations with the teacher had turned sexual, and he and Rodriguez had sex at Navarre High School in the summer of 2019.
The student said after attending a “summer practice,” he met with Rodriguez in her classroom to go over something and the two had sex.

One enterprising student turned on the PA system in a ghetto school I once taught in, and the entire school was treated to the sounds of a senior administrator having a good time with a guidance counselor in a shop room. The female guidance counselor resigned, but the male administrator kept his job. Unbelievable, but true.

No, never thought of that. After all, I am irresistable.
I was 12 and knew the mechanics but she would have had to do a lot of biology teaching for sure. Fun at 80 to think back on those thoughts now.
