He’s got it backwards. Cops are the only thing standing between criminals and armed, angry citizens.
Neighborhoods will organize their own defense, and do so without the restraints imposed on police.
better they clear out the Precinct than be overtaken and the guns etc taken.

I am on high alert tonight. All firearms are ready and out. Body armor is quickly available, and several in-house cameras are up and recording (for my legal defense, should I need to take a life to protect my life and the lives of a few around me.... a horrible option, but the only sensible one I can think of.)

My odds are very good at this time. I am but one grain of sand in a large beach, so the odds of me being focused upon are very slim. Add to that, the fact that I am a rather prickely target.... I should be good.
But that is today. If order keeps on breaking down, by this time next year, I will have evacuated for counties more amenable, or I will be dead.
