NEW YORK The owner of the Uncle Bens brand of rice says the brand will evolve in response to concerns about racial stereotyping.
Caroline Sherman, a spokeswoman for Mars, which owns Uncle Bens, says the company is listening to the voices of consumers, especially in the black community, and recognizes that now is the right time to evolve the brand, including its visual identity.
In the wake of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, activists and consumers have demanded that companies take a stand against racial injustice or lose their business.

You can tell how easily offended a group is by how fun their holidays are. St. Patty’s Day is at the tops for revelry. Columbus Day is pretty much neutral, unless you’re a SJW. You’ll get in trouble on MLK Day if you’re not off work and somber enough.
You know, many black people are wonderful cooks. Too bad it is now considered racist to have pictures of black people on Aunt Jemimas pancake syrup ( she was a real person who was born a slave and became a millionaire) and Uncle Bens rice.
