An Iowa high school baseball team started its season on Monday by kneeling during the national anthem in support of Black Lives Matter and racial injustice, according to multiple reports.
All of the Roosevelt Roughriders players linked arms and were seen kneeling as "The Star-Spangled Banner" echoed through Principal Park in Des Moines ahead of the team's first game against Ankeny Centennial.
“[We have a] lot of diversity, and a lot of people of color," a Roosevelt senior outfielder told Des Moines WHO 13. “We’re just trying to show our appreciation, and it’s about social justice."

I’m going to a semi-pro baseball game tonight. If they try these kneeling crap, I’m walking out as soon as the playing of the anthem is completed.
They should start replacing the The Star-Spangled Banner at sports venues with the March of the Volunteers.

If you knelt after or before the Anthem I'd simply yawn but during, no other way to interpret kneeling during except disrespect.
Looks like more players on the field than spectators in the stands.

These kids are going to be confused and dismayed when NFL and MLB fans ERUPT with boos at anyone on the field on their knees.
Hey if the League wants to self-destruct because the football players can't understand they are there to play a game - a game - then at least they will bear the shame.

I believe sports in general is flushing itself down the commode.
ALL of these kids have phones, Snapchat, Insta, etc, and will obey what the Device tells them they must do. What their parents say, what our founding documents say, what simple logic says makes no difference whatsoever.

I am sure that some players told their parents...
I refuse to believe that all parents support kneeling...
Should parents prohibit their son from playing if he wants to kneel with his teammates?
Or should they respect the son’s decision?
