President Trump is preparing to sign an executive order Tuesday that will create a system for tracking police misconduct, incentivize officer training and send social workers on some nonviolent police calls.
Trump said Monday afternoon that the order would be a very comprehensive response to unrest over the killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police. Its details were spelled out to reporters on an evening call.
A senior Trump administration official said the reforms could be revolutionary and that the White House expects broad support, including from police representatives who will attend the orders signing ceremony.

“Social workers?” Oops. They are one of the most radical, perverted subgroups of the left. Many of them hate marriage and men. Many university students outside of social work have been aware of the bizarre behaviors of social work students for at least forty years.
I’ll save judgement until I see the actual EO, however it doesn’t sound terrible. Increase trained and resources to they know how to handle calls and when best to refer to other agencies.
Maybe then those liberal social workers will understand the fear police feel with they get a call of a mentally unstable person.
I guess the White House believes the polls that Americans supposedly now overwhelmingly support BLM?
Mire reason to send them out for the domestic abuse 911 calls. The crazy husbands will be really happy to see em.
Chuckle.
Doubt it.
And I don't believe any such polls either.
But this EO wil”create a system for tracking police misconduct, incentivize officer training and send social workers on some nonviolent police calls.”
I don't have much of a problem with that. There are always a few bad cops. This guy in Minneapolis should have been sacked long ago. He had a long record of unacceptable behavior.
My brother brought up the issue of a poor-behavior cop that was part of the local small-town operation. Various complaints came in and the town council refused to do much. Finally lawsuits mounted and the insurance folks hinted that their cost to the city was to triple. That was sufficient to ‘let’ the bad-cop go. Within a month, he was hired by another town 300 miles away. It’s safe to predict that whatever problem he had...went with him to the next town.
This is one of the ten issues that ought to be resolved and would prevent the public continually frustrated with poor hiring practices.
We're done.
Noway people support BLM now, as Tucker pointed out just five months ago the public didn’t have a favorable view of them. People don’t change like that..this is all PR.
Bad cops ARE a problem. They have always been. And it’s no statistical anomaly either.
Are you familiar with the history of the NYPD? I don’t know if you ever lived in NYC before.
the stats just don’t back up your hysterical lies.
For a dept. of 34K and millions of interactions a year in NYC you mean to tell me there is a problem big enough for an EO?
gtfo
It IS a statistical anomaly you are a fool if you believe the propaganda machine that is about to run over you.
Unless you’re some conservative black FReeper who is reasonable until it comes to this issue then the emotional IQ lowers and takes over.
Yes, precisely.
Your idiotic rant has absolutely nothing to do with the post you were replying to.
I suggest you read my post again, take a deep breath, think deeply about it, and then compose another more measured reply.
There is ZERO reason POTUS needs to get involved and do some EO on this issue.
That is for local cities and counties to deal with the stats don’t lie, there is not a lot of “bad cops” randomly killing and brutalizing people. This is all hype and lies from a cultural Marxists political movement clearly you’re not swift enough understand.
Now you are foaming at the mouth like a demented monk. I like that.
So far I haven’t sited any statistics. Yet.
In my post, I asked if you were familiar with the history of the NYPD or had ever lived in NYC. That’s it.
You haven't sited stats because they don't back up your claim there is a problem with bad cops.
Are bad cops good? No. Can they cause problems? Yes. But they are not a problem as in some national crisis. They Hyperbole is out of control. Sorry you're a sucker and are falling for it.
Social workers have seen some terrible stuff—kids living with drug addicts, kids beat up by their parents and other adults, welts, bruises, babies with cracked skulls, broken ribs, underweight, having to remove these same kids from their homes by picking them up and carrying them screaming from their homes—these are the social workers I have put on the stand as witnesses in child abuse and neglect cases. It’s a tough gig and yes, they are not in favor of preserving the family when it is dysfunctional, that is true, why preserve a nightmare? They will work with the family for a year, but if the parents don’t get housing, get employment, get transportation, get rehabbed off drugs or alcohol and learn how to redirect kids without bruising them, their parental rights are getting terminated and the kids will live elsewhere. Social work is a tough job. Many sleepless nights, people threatening them, heartbreaking scenes with children, lunatic parents on drugs or schizophrenic.
