Millions of Americans remain subjected to unprecedented restrictions on their personal lives, their daily lives, their family's lives.
The coronavirus lockdowns continue in many places. You may not know that because it gets no publicity, but it's true. And if you're living under it, you definitely know.
As a result of this, tens of millions of people are now unemployed. A huge number of them have no prospects of working again. Many thousands of small businesses are closed and will never reopen. More Americans have become dependent on drugs and alcohol, seeing their marriages dissolve, and become clinically depressed.
Some of them delayed their weddings. Others were banned by the government from burying their loved ones in funerals. Some Americans will die of cancer because they couldn't get cancer screenings, some unknown number have taken their own lives in despair. Others have flooded the streets to riot because bottled up rage and frustration take many forms.
The cost of shutting down the United States and denying our citizens desperately needed contact with one another is hard to calculate. But the cost has been staggering.
The people responsible for doing all of this,say they have no regrets about it. We faced a global calamity, they say. COVID-19 was the worst pandemic since the Spanish flu. That flu killed 50 million people.
We had no choice. We did the right thing. That's what they're telling us. Is it true?
The answer to that question matters, not just because the truth always matters, but because the credibility of our leaders is at stake here. This is the biggest decision they have made in our lifetimes. They were able to make it. They rule because we let them. Their power comes from us.

I was thinking last night....
In the normal flu season, you would call a friend and they would commonly say: “I’ve got it, (insert how bad)”
My first such call was to CA: “I don’t know why but people are raiding stores for TP”
This was in Feb.
I still never got a call from anyone who said they were sick from Covid19.
I did have a trusted friend in CA who lost a close friend who was about 80.
That was it.
I do feel in NYC that they were infected by weaponized Iranians who were flown in to spread it as much as possible.
I think elites are going out of their way to increase unnecessary stress on the population in order to breed conditions favorable to mass hysteria, think Salem Witch hunts and Tulip-mania.
That’s not to say disease isn’t real, but there is also a stress epidemic.

Boycott, divest, and sanction. Yes, this works so well, it should be tried everywhere. These are the tactics of more sophisticated bullies, but bullies nevertheless.

This brings to mind an old adage “Never let a crisis go to waste” And the left is getting as much mileage out of it as they can. By demoralizing the public it makes them much more pliable and more easily conforms to the left’s wishes and demands. We live in interesting times and as hard as I may try I just don’t see a good ending with all this crap going on.
I’ve been playing softball with fellow seniors for about the past 4 weeks now with anywhere from 18 to 30 guys at the field and none of us has ever caught the virus. With the exception of one nephew, nobody else in my family has gotten sick either........

Why doesn't someone do something?
My husband and I went to McDonald’s this morning to have coffee and breakfast, our state actually opened inside dining on Monday. But, they only allowed takeout orders. We left, saying we would find a restaurant where we could actually enjoy a meal inside with out carrying it out. Anyway, all of these little old ladies working there had masks on covering mouth and nose. I wanted to say take those masks off! You’re making yourselves sick, but I didn’t. I’d already given them enough of a piece of my mind. I want our civilized society back where people enjoyed living. We actually ended up at a nice little diner.
