Cristobal has started to move toward the Gulf of Mexico after stalling over Campeche Mexico. Tropical Storm and storm surge watches have been issued along the Northern Gulf of Mexico coast.
Most of the convection is located to the east of the storm.

Thanks for providing the word origin for Cristobal. Let’s hope the name doesn’t rate retirement after this season. That would be a very good sign.
Reading that Hurricane Hunters will fly back into the storm tonight.
According to the rout map, the storm ends RIGHT at my front door in SW Wisconsin!
This should be fun. ;)

Currently west of you; soon to be north of you:
a lot of rain Tuesday, a little rain Wed and then it cools off.
Last storm, at our new place, the power went down, but not from the storm. Cause: a turkey vulture got caught between the lines. For those who don’t know, they are BIG birds.
They need to get a good fix on this storm asap. One thing is certain--Cristobal will make landfall somewhere along the Northern GOM.
Another year, another storm. Here we go 2020.
As always, thanks for posting...
We finally decided to join the generator generation this season. Went with a Westinghouse iGen4500DF - 3,700 Watt Electric Start Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator w/ Wireless Remote Start (CARB). This model is a hot ticket item. Wait listed until at least mid-June.
On the slightly higher tech side, also picked up a Nexus (EGO) 3000-Watt 56V Lithium-Ion Power Station Portable Generator.
With these substantial investments, I expect a very quiet hurricane season in 2020. You can thank me in November.
I think they’re sending “Miss Piggy” to check it out.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the northern Gulf
of Mexico coast from east of Morgan City, Louisiana to the
Okaloosa/Walton County FL line.
A Storm Surge Warning has been issued from the mouth of the
Mississippi River to Ocean Springs MS, including Lake Borgne.

Excellent !
Yeah, it’s just a tropical storm.
I never turn my back on anything in the Gulf.
Looks like Miss Piggy is there so should get updated info soon?
Of course, prayers are always a good choice! Since we invested in generators this year, this should encourage a quiet storm season too.
Whoa.
I’m coming to your house for a ‘cane party!
LOL! Sure! You can help us haul them upstairs if storm surge in on the menu.
