President Trump on Saturday vowed to stop mob violence, as he condemned riots that have broken out amid what originally were protests across the country in response to Minneapolis man George Floyds death in police custody earlier this week.
The president called Floyds death a tragedy and said it should never have happened.
DUELING CLAIMS: TRUMP BLAMES ANTIFA FOR RIOTS, MINNESOTA OFFICIALS POINT FINGERS AT WHITE SUPREMACISTS AND CARTELS
It filled America all over the country with horror, anger and grief, Trump said Saturday, noting that he spoke to Floyds family and expressed the sorrow of our entire nation for their loss.
I stand before you as a friend and ally of every American seeking justice and peace, the president said, before adding he also stands in opposition to looters.
The president went on to say that he understands the pain that people feel, and said his administration supports the right of peaceful protesters and we hear their pleas, but said much of what we are seeing on the streets of our cities has nothing to do with justice or peace.
The memory of Floyd is being dishonored by rioters, looters, and anarchists, Trump said, blaming "Antifa and other radical left-wing groups for terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses and burning down buildings."
PROTESTS DEMANDING JUSTICE FOR GEORGE FLOYD RAMP UP AGAIN NATIONWIDE
It is unclear which groups may be participating in the riots across the country. The president has maintained that Antifa and other left-wing groups are to blame, while Minnesota officials claimed that white supremacists and other elements were involved in stoking violence.

It was a planted question at a press conference. A reporter asked if there were white supremists involved, and Wala said they’ve “seen evidence” that far right people were “targeting” Minneapolis.
Probably saw some Freeper say sarcastically that they were going to go there and get a TV.
However, they have not identified or arrested one far-right person in these riots.
But it was enough for Joy Reid to say it was “documented.”
“Maybe its time to move to Iceland or Costa Rica. I hear Costa Rica is nice. :-)”
On our cruise in February, one port was Belize. We had discussed looking at real estate that day — heard it’s a good place for Americans to retire. We didn’t do it, but maybe should have.
This is the way to solve it.
It was a very noisy morning but after that, it was quiet for many years.
At some point, if the violence escalates to such a point that state & local authorities can not, or will not, protect the lives of innocent citizens of the United States...it is the duty of the federal government to step in and protect the lives of those United States citizens.
10 U.S. Code § 252.Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority
Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.
10 U.S. Code § 253.Interference with State and Federal law
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it(1)so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or
(2)opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.
In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.
Why not bring the four cops from Minneapolis, the father son from Georgia, the cops that killed the lady in a no knock raid, throw in that Somali cop from Minnesota (to try and appease both sides) and schedule a mass hanging on the mall.
They could sell tickets and broadcast it live, have food vendors.
May be the kick in the arse the economy needs.
SAD, thing if the above was carried out the same CLOWNS who are instigating now will be holding 'Memorial riots for those that were hung'.
If one doesn't recognize sarcasm etc etc etc.....
It's quickly becoming a federal matter.

Done. Thank you for the links. But I am still conflicted. When Obama was president, a cult of personality grew around him. No criticism was allowed.
Id hate to see this happen with conservatives in regards to Trump. Gentle criticism is healthy. It should be okay. Harsh criticism is counterproductive. And it actually aids the radical left.
No disrespect meant to NLZ, but has NLZ gone over the line to actually become a troll? Its not the easiest of calls, but I say no. However, its not up to me. Its up to JimRob.
Until then, I might disagree with NLZ, but I will not resort to name-calling.
This is what Trump does, he cheer leads early for the right people to do the right thing.
When they don’t, he escalates the cheer leading.
When they still don’t, he escalates the cheerleading some more.
Only then does he act.
I think he is brilliant. I will definitely be voting for him. And the voters who have weak governors are going to have to live with their results until they vote again.
In the process everyone ends up understanding that the right people were responsible, not Trump. And that Trump only acted after they failed.
The right people get blamed and Trump’s approval goes up.
Trump said today he has military police units ready and on standby if the governor requests help.
Some are looking at this as though it is a Watts re-run. Violent as that was, it was local.
Watts was a case of a large number of mentally deficient savages running wild, stealing, burning with no real plan other than to steal all they could.
On the other hand, this is a well planned uprising spanning the entire country. Even though the riots are many miles apart, the tactics are so similar that it points to a central planner who is as yet unknown.
In short, it is an uprising against the government of the United States rather than a riot over a perceived injustice.
That makes it federal and the violation of many federal laws seals the case that it is the business of the President.
The U.S. Code certainly gives Trump the authority to respond to these riots. But should he? At this point, I say no. Leave it as a state matter. But give support if requested.
The rioters are not declaring themselves to be independent nations. They are not hanging people from trees. The state-controlled National Guard can do as good a job as Federal troops can.
Official ANTIFA representative to Freerepublic? Not going to go well for you.
He has been challenged on almost every thread and hasn’t responded to anyone. He’s not interested in discussion or defending his position. That’s also evident in his strident tone calling Trump a total failure on both Covid-19 and these riots.
That’s what I see. If you don’t that’s fine.
> He has been challenged on almost every thread and hasnt responded to anyone. <
Now, thats interesting. And damning.
The White supremacists have overdone their fans.
Dang autocorrect...
He is a paid troll and a drive by shooter of the worst kind.
It is obvious to me you have reverted back to being a Dummy as in DummycRAT.
Do you have any proof of that? You lied your arse off about me so you might be lying now.
