St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter (D) said Saturday that all of the protesters who were arrested in his city the previous night were from out of state as demonstrations in and around Minneapolis over George Floyds death descended into violence.
Carter said there was not a high number of arrests in St. Paul on Friday night due in part to a curfew, but suggested that out-of-staters were behind much of the agitation fueling the violence.
Because we had a relative stillness in St. Paul, we didnt make an enormous number of arrests, but every single person we arrested last night, Im told, was from out of state. What we are seeing right now is a group of people who are not from here, Carter said at a press conference.
As I talk to my friends who have been in this movement for a very long time, who wake up in this movement every day and I ask them what theyre seeing, what theyre feeling, what theyre hearing, to a person, I hear them say we dont know these folks. We dont know these folks who are agitating, we dont know these folks who are inciting violence, we dont know these folks who are first in to break a window.

‘I dont think the local black people are the problem’
right; those were all whites in blackface carrying the stereos and TV’s out of the looted stores...
Nah, can’t be.
And, there are no middle Easterners coming across the Southern border.
This POS administers people and makes decisions for people. People vote this in. I honestly have no answer for this stupidity but to just let them be destroyed.
The looting was something else. It was just crowd insanity...and btw, there were a lot of young whites among them. Look at the Target videos...obviously local whites, not Antifa, wearing tank tops and shorts and marching out with five handbags slung over their shoulders, TVs or vacuum cleaners, etc. In a time of chaos, people show what theyre made of, and I think weve let down everybody, black or white, by not having any standards of behavior or morality.
What Im talking about are the ongoing Antifa riots, where theres generally more black cops than black rioters.
Remember Ferguson .... same deal. Betcha some of the ones arrested in St Paul were the same as in Ferguson.
“I would love to see mug shots with places of origin.”
i wouldn’t be surprised if a majority were white people affiliated with ANTIFA ...
