So far, nothing put anyone at risk. Charge main cop with 2nd degree murder. Other cops with manslaughter.
It’ll be interesting to see how the MSM turns this disgusting and shameful incident in the Democrat-run city of Minneapolis (in the DFL-run state of Minnesota) onto President Trump.
Mpls cops have long been known as “thumpers.”
The city has paid out $millions in settlements over the years.
Were the police able to verify that the suspect didn’t have a weapon before pinning him on the ground? I’m asking for a friend.
Does it matter? Really?
If a couple of asshole government agents decide to physically drag me out of my vehicle, I might show some resistance to the act.
That notwithstanding, after he was cuffed, searched and down; what justifies standing on his neck until he loses consciousness?
How many had he killed and maimed? Was he heavily armed and threatening the public safety?
Can the police stand on your neck just because you made them mad?
Is that how you want your government to work?
And show me the toxicology report which shows he was on drugs. Since you're "waiting for facts" and all...
See, if anyone BUT police, had dragged a guy out of his car, and one of them kneeled on his neck until the guy died, while the kneeler's buddies ran interference to keep anyone from helping the guy on the ground, and tried to block the view of bystanders filming it?
Murder one that night, denied bail. All four of them.
Double standard much, troll-boi?
Unfortunately, I expect to start seeing a wave of police being killed by being taken down by crowds, hand cuffed and then killed by Kneeling on their necks.
Exactly. The authoritarian thug spirit is alive and well amongst many here. If you support cops standing on the neck of a coffee man until hes dead, youre no friend freedom and have the mind of a slave.
I won’t and can’t pretend to understand the African American world - don’t have the experience base. But, with body cams being the norm these days there are hundreds of videos available with similar circumstances. Resisting detainment or arrest in today’s police climate is a bad bet on the odds. I see videos every week of drug addled people taking multiple taser hits and they keep going. I recall one video of a 110 pound woman getting away from four male cops, being tased and still giving them a running exercise. Not saying this guy was on drugs but it is one probable scenario. The autopsy results will be interesting. All of that and this is still a very disturbing incident.
*cuffed
“All officers involved in the altercation were fired.”
Good now charge them, the neck guy with manslaughter, the others as accessories
Guess their boss saw something other than what you did not “want to see”.
Nice try, racist !
He didnt die in the process of being detained. He was cuffed and had his neck forcibly kneeled upon for 7 mins until he released his bowels and died. Murder 2.
That's not exactly true. Active resistance as seen on the camera puts the officers at risk.
So, I wait patiently now for the cop hating mob to show up.
That cop quit after that incident IIRC. I do not know any other info on whether he was charged with anything.
your post is dead-on. There is no reason to stand on anyone’s neck, ever, unless the intent is to kill. Resisting arrest is the act of the stupid or insane, but neither of those are reasons to kill that person in and of themselves. If you already have the guy down on the ground its just as easy to step on or kneel on the space between the shoulder blades to hold him down while the other cops pinion his arms and legs. The cop that stood on his neck needs to be arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned.
“Active resistance as seen on the camera puts the officers at risk.”
And they are paid to accept that risk. Police are some of the only people who can take away your freedom with their words alone. This makes it paramount that they be men of the highest moral character. There are currently more police positions in America than there are moral men.
If you have watched the video, the whole thing, then you surely will see what was done was not right.
If you or I, caught an intruder in our home, we could shoot him on sight. But if somehow we disarmed him, drug him out in the street, and kneeled on his neck until he died, we would be brought up on charges.
I don’t disagree, but the video shows he resisted initially and that initiated the events that happened subsequent to that. And I am not defending the cops, just commenting on the behavior I see in today’s world.
