How many had he killed and maimed? Was he heavily armed and threatening the public safety?

Exactly. The authoritarian thug spirit is alive and well amongst many here. If you support cops standing on the neck of a coffee man until he’s dead, you’re no friend freedom and have the mind of a slave.
your post is dead-on. There is no reason to stand on anyone’s neck, ever, unless the intent is to kill. Resisting arrest is the act of the stupid or insane, but neither of those are reasons to kill that person in and of themselves. If you already have the guy down on the ground its just as easy to step on or kneel on the space between the shoulder blades to hold him down while the other cops pinion his arms and legs. The cop that stood on his neck needs to be arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned.
Some people apparently do. Having just watched the whole vid of them murdering this man, I hope every single one of the cops involved gets beaten to death by an angry mob. Beaten. To. Death.
here’s some advice, if a cop tells you to get out of your car, you better get your ass out. Once they stop or detain you, you are under their custody. They drag you out because you’re not listening and getting out per their request. Many cops are killed by simple calls like this.
