A black man says he asked a white woman in Central Park to put her dog on a leash.
Then, video shows her calling police and telling emergency operators that the man was threatening her and her dog. The woman, who has been identified as Amy Cooper, has apologized. But by Tuesday afternoon she was fired from her job at an investment management firm.
"Following our internal review of the incident in Central Park yesterday, we have made the decision to terminate the employee involved, effective immediately. We do not tolerate racism of any kind at Franklin Templeton," the company said in a statement posted to Twitter.
Doughty, brought about by those of the same ilk as she. They have now begun devouring their own. This is a glance into the future where the Left intends to exterminate Trump supporters and those who do not think as they. A/l/a. the Soviet Union from the Bolshevik Revolution to its dissolution. After the perceived, imagined, and actual enemies were eliminated they began feeding on and upon themselves. This is the stage the politically correct crowd or mob find themselves now.
Later
[She has not been blackmailed.
Even Miss Cooper had stated that her action were wrong.]
“ME: Look, if youre going to do what you want, Im going to do what I want, but youre not going to like it.
HER: Whats that?
ME (to the dog): Come here, puppy!”
The conversation seems reasonable until this part. If I’m in that women’s place, and the guy is calling my dog after saying I won’t like what he’s about to do, in my view he is about to hurt my dog. That is a threat.
My Rotten Shepherd is a 101 pound bundle of love, a sweetheart of a dog. That doesn't mean she's not on a leash when I take her for a walk.
Owning is a dog is a heavy responsibility.
Yes,it's true...I have *far* too much free time! ;-)
This could have been the company thanking God they finally got rid of her. She seems mentally disturbed. The company got to fire her with cause and no chance of a lawsuit. Probably good news all around.
Out of line to post the video on line or give it to the news to make yourself a victim and she gets fired? Sue them all! Including De Blasio. There is more to this. And look how stressed out she was.
“Dogs not on leash bite people. Some people are very scared of dogs (like me).”
A very valid point. Plus there is a leash law in New York City.
Untrue
Employment is “At Will” in many states; they don’t NEED a reason.
And she, at the very least, exhibited bad judgement and possible dishonesty which is something that does not play well in her industry.
They could fire you (generic ‘you’) for posting on Free Republic, being part of Antifa, going to a MAGA rally. The people who don’t like this fact should rethink their opinion of ‘Right To Work’ laws.
the Constitution says nothing about this.
Yes, he was such a threat to her that he thought he would record the confrontation for effect, because that's what men who threaten women do; they record the incident on video.< /s>
If she felt threatened she would have left the area immediately. She didn't, and because she didn't, she gave enough evidence to her employer that she made a false complaint against the man; her behavior was egregious enough to cost her her job. (If you can't see it I'm not going to argue the point.)
“Anyone have her number? Crazy is my type, apparently.
“
She may be the type if you cross her, off go your nuts.
Anyone who complains about this but supports ‘Right to work’ laws is a hypocrite.
Then dont call the police for no reason and dont strangle a dog for millions of people to watch on the internet.
In some ways even though we reflexively take sides the truth is you had to be there to know.
IMO the pendulum has swung too far and men do not get a fair shake. That may account for my bias in this situation.
Equally I view the one who is breaking the rules and taking away the rights of others, to quietly enjoy a bird sanctuary, as being in the wrong unless proven otherwise. The way she choked the dog and called the police rather than putting the dog on the leash also lost points with me. The man might have been wiser to just leave but if we always cede our place to bullies where do we have left to stand?
That is good that you think so. He wasn’t fired. She was.
Tip of the Ice Berg.
Plenty of them out there.
This may end up as the scariest issue, as more Karen’s surface as people hating B$tches. They have been out there all along just simmering with rage waiting to be released.
I have posted about Karen’s in our city yelling about people walking on the other side of the street without a mask or standing in their own yards w/o a mask. Then sending letters to the editors saying we, unmasked ones, were trying to kill/harm them and their family.
Then we had a couple of weeks of great N. California weather. People like my wife and I and our neighbors began to walk on the streets by our homes without our masks.
In a couple of days, the Karen’s were screaming at the property owners/us for not wearing masks on the opposite side of a two to three lane road. We decided that behavior was not going to be tolerated.
Fortunately, a few strongly “Do not Go there! We live here, warnings worked.”
One 6’7” neighbor, A Viet Nam vet, told some Karen’s/Chads that he enjoyed killing assholes in Nam, and they should just leave him and the residents alone in our area. He added many of the guys and some women here are Vets.
They are still out there like the one on this post.
I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
>>You can’t possibly be this dull.
Nice insult. She wasn’t at work, on company business nor mentioned the company. People do stupid shit all the time but don’t get fired. We also don’t know what the guy did or said before the video starts, it was already in progress when we see it.
