In some ways even though we reflexively take sides the truth is you had to be there to know.

IMO the pendulum has swung too far and men do not get a fair shake. That may account for my bias in this situation.

Equally I view the one who is breaking the rules and taking away the rights of others, to quietly enjoy a bird sanctuary, as being in the wrong unless proven otherwise. The way she choked the dog and called the police rather than putting the dog on the leash also lost points with me. The man might have been wiser to just leave but if we always cede our place to bullies where do we have left to stand?

Good summary. And you know, even if she hadn't made the remarks about his color, the fact that she called the police on him and pretended she was under attack by a man who was standing there not moving a step in her direction... that's a liberal for sure. "You have confronted me and made me uncomfortable! I'll have you arrested for that!"

I wonder what happened after the recording ended. Did the police show up? I'd love to hear more of this story.
