Twitter is seeking to expand its product features and policies after President Trump repeatedly pushed a conspiracy theory regarding the death of an intern who worked in former Rep. Joe Scarborough's congressional office.
The social media platform apologized on Tuesday morning for the president's insinuation that Scarborough, now a television host on MSNBC, may have been responsible for Lori Klausutiss 2001 death via Twitter, which has prompted calls for the company to remove the tweets.
We are deeply sorry about the pain these statements, and the attention they are drawing, are causing the family," a Twitter spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. "We've been working to expand existing product features and policies so we can more effectively address things like this going forward, and we hope to have those changes in place shortly."

Ban Trump? Wars have started for less.
In today’s politically correct World liberals can get cases reopened if they want.
For example in the Trayvon Martin case the police and local DA had closed the case based on the evidence they had that it was self-defense. But because of agitation by people like Al Sharpton the governor of Florida felt compelled to appoint a special prosecutor to look into the case.
It was the special prosecutor who brought murder charges against George Zimmerman not the local DA, who had already investigated the case and closed the case.
I don’t know enough about the details of Joe Scarborough situation. Just pointing out that the case could be reopened if powers-that-be wanted it reopened.
On the grounds that the investigation was compromised. Frankly at this point I don't trust law enforcement anymore.
Yup.
> > > Listen buddy, interns die OK? Sometimes they die in people’s offices, OK? Is that so hard to understand? Just because an intern dies in someone’s office, and that someone is a prominent member of the left-wing media, doesn’t mean there’s anything to the story, OK? Same as that Vince Foster guy. So he shot himself in his office, so what? Or maybe he didn’t shoot himself in his office, but whatever. It happens. People die. I’m sure if a 28-year-old female intern suddenly had a heart attack and dropped dead just outside the Oval Office, no one in the MSM would say boo, just another day in the white house, no big deal, right? OK? So why can’t you let it go already, like Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have. Let it go, I mean. Joe and Mika have let it go. There.

“So are the powers that be with social media going to censor any discussion about Chappaquiddick, or the Kennedy assassination or any other topic of Interest?”
Russia, Russia, Russia.
Or Mary Jo Kopechne’s parents.
Nothing like a few million to chill folks out.
I heard that. Can you imagine the storm that would create if they did remove Tweets from the President and his son?
Has Twitter apologized for all the Russian intervention in the election Tweets?
The fact is the intern was in the office because Joe had an appointment to meet with constituents. The constituents were the ones that found her dead. So what happened to Joe? He was scheduled to be there at the time she was killed.
Says who?
Frankly at this point I don't trust law enforcement anymore.
I have my doubts as well. But nobody is going to reopen closed investigation based solely on 'doubts' from individuals unconnected to the case. It would take new evidence to do that.
The reaction is probably bring more attention to the incident than Trump’s tweets did.
So what do you think is the best way for Trump to deal with this going forward? Now that the ‘grieving spouse’ has weighed in?
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
The opening of a Cold Case against Psycho Joe Scarborough was not a Donald Trump original thought, this has been going on for years, long before I joined the chorus. In 2016 when Joe & his wacky future ex-wife, Mika, would endlessly interview me, I would always be thinking....

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
....about whether or not Joe could have done such a horrible thing? Maybe or maybe not, but I find Joe to be a total Nut Job, and I knew him well, far better than most. So many unanswered & obvious questions, but I wont bring them up now! Law enforcement eventually will?

Or to quote the great American sage...
“What difference at this point, what difference does it make?”
Hillary Rodman Clinton.
Yet ANOTHER term bastardized by the left (and right).
There is NOTHING WRONG with a “conspiracy theory”!
A “conspiracy theory” in and of itself is not “BAD”.
It SHOULD NOT automatically conger up the idea of ludicrous or insane ideas.
“Conspiracy theory, an attempt to explain harmful or tragic events as the result of the actions of a small, powerful group. Such explanations reject the accepted narrative surrounding those events; indeed, the official version may be seen as further proof of the conspiracy.”
https://www.britannica.com/topic/conspiracy-theory
“...conspiracy theory on Scarborough intern death”
YES, it IS a “conspiracy theory”, but NOT in the way they meant it and not the way most people today will take it because of the bastardization of today’s lexicon.
What does that mean? "Yup." What are you trying to say.
Let me just remind you, back when the Clintons were running things in Washington, you had interns, lawyers, businessmen, ex-partners of the Clintons in business deals, ex-clients of Hillary Rod-damn Clinton, dropping dead and croaking and giving up the ghost all over the place and no one said anything about it except a bunch of right-wing nut jobs on the internet, which was invented by Vice President Al Gore by the way.
People croaked in their office and smeared poo-poo all over the walls while they were in the process of meeting their Maker, people got shot while they were driving down country roads, people had heart attacks while they were sitting in a little concrete cell in a Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, they got shot to death along with three of their friends while they were working at a Starbucks in Georgetown, people got groped by the President, people gave the Last Full Measure of Devotion while under the President's desk while he was talking to world leaders, OK? No big deal. No conspiracy. Nothing to get excited about.
Now a fake story about some prostitutes pissing on a bed in Moscow, that we can get real excited about, make it front-page news for almost three years straight.
+1
Yes. That old fashioned freedom of speech stuff people used to have before political correctness.
For years now people skirt around "physically challenged person" or "undocumented immigrant" to avoid censure.
Now ..... Business Insider, Kiara Keane May 9, 2020---- "The city of San Antonio in Texas has unanimously passed a resolution condemning the use of terms such as "Chinese virus" and "kung-fu virus" as hate speech."
But Ann Coulter can call President Trump a "retard." And all the media have called him a murderer (virus policies), a racist, a xenophobe (for trying to enforce existing legal borders of the USA) and lots of "mentally incompetent" and "a clown" insults tossed out daily. No worries---a public figure. Try saying the slightly wrong thing about protected members of the Dem socialist family. Look out.
