Participants say government is overreaching, violating Constitution..
About 200 people gathered Friday evening in downtown Durango to protest public health orders
...
The organizer, La Plata County rancher John Avery .. decried actions by the government as a violation to the constitution.
What have we become, to let ourselves be governed and treated like cowards? Avery asked the crowd. This is our time to be strong. Take a stand. Dont be afraid. Dont let fear rule your life.
The rally .. gathered without masks and not social distancing. Many people had Dont Tread on Me flags and Trump 2020 swag.
...
After Averys speech, the crowd walked north on Main Avenue. Cars honked horns, people shouted at the protesters, both in support and opposition.
Misti Witt .. protest the city of Durangos requirement to wear face coverings in businesses and places that cant maintain social distancing, which went intro effect Friday.
But its not just about face masks .. its about taking away an individuals right to chose what is best for themselves.
Heath Rowe.. mask... not the governments place to make it a requirement. And, .. people have been taking issue with a range of orders that have shut down the economy.
...
Clark McKay.. Why are they taking healthy people and restricting them from living a normal life? .. government is pushing us and pushing us. Were definitely getting away from a free country.
...
Cheryl Stevens .. there has been a huge amount of fear mongering surrounding the coronavirus.
Its Memorial Day weekend, and were standing for our country .. as a citizen of this country, I have the right to go where I want to go without having to wear a mask. ... I have that right to choose for myself.

When will we all learn that the Republican pols and Democrat pols are all in on this together?
I have long believed that they pit us against one another. That they sit in a backroom together, laughing, lighting cigars with $100 bills collected from the backs of our productivity.
Those here who embrace the fear, support total governmental control, and refuse to admit the truth about a virus that isnt the end of the world deserve to be mocked.
Only about half the employees wear them and most of the customers don't. I think unless you're one of these "Karen" people (and I still am not sure who these people are), the only ones who care about the masks and social distancing are the busybodies. This is a small rural place and most people know each other, if not by name, by sight.
It looks to me like everyone else is of my opinion, that the people running the government don't know anymore about stopping this virus than we do. "Doing something" even if it doesn't work, makes most of the government types and Karens "feel" good about themselves.
The rest of us could care less what games they're playing.
A few days ago on Facebook, I was reading about the church in Holly Springs, Mississippi, that was burned because of its determination to re-open.
In the comment section, a smug Karen posted that, basically, the church got what it deserved.
The Karens name? Karen.
I posted a scathing reply to her and noted that she had a very appropriate first name.
You put on the bandana mask if Karen tells you to?
Arizona question - if we drive through from CA, all open? Restaurants, hotels, and so forth? Here in CA, my husband cannot book a hotel in Bishop, eastern CA, on the way home from a (essential) job bc of the flu. He was told, “If you live within 60 miles of Bishop you can stay with us.” I’m calling that micro-management. And Baloney. and Totalitarianism.
Folks are free to stay home and protect themselves. Their freedom ends when they demand/ mock/ announce that others should wear a mask. As they say, “Your fear does not trump my freedom.”
We are in Los Angeles, so Shelob’s Web is heavy over us due to fishy data and a Totalitarian Gov and Mayor of LA. We’re thrilled that President Trump has an eye here - before the tarring and feathering begins.
We watched Eric Metaxas’s recent interview with Diana West last night. Folks, if you’ve ever wondered how many people in the US are receiving Chinese money, if you’ve ever even considered that maybe, just maybe, China released the virus/ caused the ‘accident’ coincidentally right after Trump totally renegotiated the trade agreements, you must watch this interview.
Diana West is an exceptional writer - strong research, thoughtful questions, deep investigations. It is chilling to watch, but exciting to see the Truth stated so clearly.
If the link doesn’t work, Google ‘Metaxas Diana West interview.’ It was very recent.
Thankfully, it turned out Ducey was more scared of the GOP legislature than he was of Kate Gallego and her Kackling Karens. :)
Very sensitive of you. lol. And yes, I know when I see someone with a mask, I think they are driven by fear, peer pressure, or they aren’t very bright.
Thank you for the link.
It’s all in the script.
The fear must continue until the democrats get mail-in voting.
Just wait until you see what they probably have planned for, oh, right around Labor Day or thereabouts.
Hmmm...... don’t tread on me flags
I was in Durango year before last and one of the most common flags was the Queer flag.
Great video - you will ‘love’ it in the way you love the Truth/ not a good steak. It’s harsh and very real.
SW Colorado has always been the bastard son of the rest of the state, the mass media there comes out of Albuquerque and Farmington
I appreciate it.
You mean a big false flag event?
I don’t doubt it. We can put nothing past them.
This stupidity of classifying deaths due to the Wuhan virus is bordering on criminal.
I read a news article a couple of days ago reporting that John Glenns’s wife had died...at 100 years old. The article mentioned that the cause of death was the Wuhan virus...give me a break!!
Yep...pretty sure the Queer flags greatly outnumber the Gadsden snake flags in Durango.
