For most people, mmmmmmaybe not a big deal.

If it's temporary, then OK, but I would want to know the long term implications before I dismissed it as "not a big deal".

Oh yeah, to be sure.

A portion of ‘healthy working age’ people with kidney, lung and cardiac problems over and above what we already have is a recipe for single payer.

Not to mention the pain and suffering factor.

This revelation about football players having heart issues after Covid reminds me of the baseball pitcher who also had heart issues after Covid: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/08/02/red-sox-ace-27-wont-pitch-this-season-because-heart-ailment-linked-covid-19/

These are young healthy guys. This bears out the studies of long term heart complications too. Are the folks in charge of health going to let joe public know this because there are a lot of people walking around thinking it’s just the sniffles for most people.

Professor Giuseppe Tritto, an internationally known expert in biotechnology and nanotechnology, says that the China Virus definitely wasn’t a freak of nature that happened to cross the species barrier from bat to man.

"97,000 children reportedly test positive for coronavirus in two weeks as schools gear up for instruction"

CBS News is so sloppy.

When you click on the tweet that has that headline - "97,000 children..." the embedded article does not even reference 97,000 children.

Here is a link that does reference 97,000 children:

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/08/11/900861372/at-least-97-000-children-tested-positive-for-coronavirus-in-last-2-weeks-of-july

Kudos to NPR for posting the actual story.

How dystopian and traumatic for kids.

No matter what I thought about the seriousness or non-seriousness of cv, I would not put my kid through that.

Testing again low (bad), cases and positivity both up (not good)

Hospitalizations (6,736) back on the decline (good)

Reported deaths (276 Resident) very high, but playing catch-up

Maybe our media, which is so focused in bashing trump, and our health agencies which are focused on vaccines, could take the time to simply educate the population on risk factors.

Everyone in the US could have learned of the risk factors of diabetes and obesity months age ago, and had time to lower their BMI:
