I see a lot of BBQ foods being sold at the grocers.
Pre-made shish kabobs, shrimp platters, chopped fruit bowls,
I’m guessing a lot of people will use this weekend as
a “End of Quarantine/ Beginning of National Recovery Party”.
Hopefully, they won’t be tattled on by nit picking busy bodies who are panicked at the thought of somebody having fun outside with their friends.

Me, personally, I don't want this thing. I am pretty healthy, not too, too old and might make it through round one.
I think I will try and vicariously find out what comes after round one, if I can help it.
Maybe, it's just me but I don't think any sane person is going to be flat on their backs for 8 weeks and counting like my friend in Stockholm and saying to themselves, "that trip to Texas Roadhouse? Totally worth it."
But, that's just me.

I applaud the guinea pigs willing to risk their health for some grilled weiners and hamburgers with people who probably wouldn’t know them if they suddenly went broke.
I’ll wait until it’s like the flu is now.
Swab when you go to the doctor (and not a cpl days later at a scheduled drive thru appointment when it’s likely already too late for the HCQ to work),
diagnosed immediately (or within 30 minutes, not several days after the drive thru appointment)
And a scrip for something that really works.
We’re not there yet.
So please, go get this so the rest of us can get back to normal!

He’s 20 something. Got this the end of January or so in Italy.
Still symptomatic nearly 4 months later.
Didn’t die but quality of life is pretty much rekt.

I'd imagine coming out of winter up there, the vitamin D levels have to be non-existent. Near total darkness for a few months.
The recent pic of him with the mustache, he looks like hell. Like he's aged 10 years.

Its certainly a weird disease.
In my county there have been 53 known cases. No hospitalizations, no deaths, 53 recovered.
Maybe they all look like hell though, we aren’t being shown pics.

I personally know a 32yr old thin (formerly) healthy female who has permanent kidney damage from this.
Technically ‘recovered’, never hospitalized, didn’t die.
One riddle for you.
If this is ‘just the flu’ and ‘only kills the elderly’, why isn’t china balls to the wall getting herd immunity?

And that formerly healthy 32yr old? Sense of taste and smell still haven’t returned 3 months after infection. THAT is causing her to be chronically depressed.
Well, that and knowing she’s in phase 2 kidney failure at 32yrs of age now.
See, the complete emphasis on ‘mortality rate’ while completely neglecting any discussion of LONG TERM effects...like kidney failure...and male sterility/infertility, makes some of us suspicious.
Because we know Lloyd Blankfein and the big money movers who ‘need’ the economy open don’t really CARE about our lives long term. At all.
