Churches dont usually pay taxes so they cant help Gov with tax receipts
Throw a church luncheon every week.
What about mosques?
Churches need to start selling groceries
And grocery stores need to start offering prayer services
Ignore.
Socialists and Liberals fear and loathe people of faith.
Just a fact of history.
Like the Fraud’s government shutdown, Rats know to make this as painful as possible to anyone and everyone they deem likely to vote Republican.
A.G. Barr... Put down your f***ing bagpipes and get busy. This is a clear violation of the First Amendment.
At least we have that Constitutional protection of eating establishments. It’s just a shame the Founding Fathers forgot about the churches.
Wow, what an idiot. Hopefully Minnesotans remember this come election time.
This is the type of government the book of revelation refers to as Rome.
The tables have to be 6 feet apart, but the chairs when occupies will place people within inches to just a few feet from each other.
I saw the immediate glaring contradiction as soon as I heard the proclamation. This is more asinine absurdity coming from people who are too arrogant to realize everything they are doing is both backwards and too little too late.
Set up the church to enforce social distancing. Make sure there is not touching. Make masks a thing.
And then invite the media to compare the place to a restaraunt.
Then, hold your services.
Its called responsible civil disobedience.
The Catholic bishops and the Lutheran bishops met together with Governor Tim Walz a few days ago. Not much good came of it. However, the fact that the Catholics and Lutherans met together for the same cause has finally lit a fire in the church leaders, just in time for Pentecost Sunday. There is strength in numbers.
On May 26th, churches will be open with limits based on 33% capacity [not 10], so two empty pews between occupied pews. The decree in a letter to Catholics in Minnesota states it will begin on Tuesday so that by Pentecost Sunday, all the members of the churches will understand the rules and social spacing needed for continued caution against the Covid-19 virus.
Come Holy Spirit! Viva! Christ the King.
Wonder what’s magic about the number 10?
Cuomo’s using it, too, to limit attendees at church services.
They announced a 10-person limit in Delaware, too. Within days it was amended to “50% of capacity.”
So now I’m just wondering about the significance of the number 10. Why 10?
How many are allowed in the mosques???
Devil’s Advocate!!!
Retired school teacher with a basket weaving degree who avoided deploying to the tough assignment with his National Guard Unit. Way in over his head.
Sure it all comes down to who pays the taxes, so it’s safe to say the governor is favoring that sector of society. However, the Constitution is very specific as regards the gathering of religious groups & I don’t think it has anything to say about restaurant goers. So, that makes the governing authority very hypocritical & any bad press they get is well deserved. A recall petition is called for, in my opinion.
