Recently, the lodge at White Pines State Park, which is privately owned, filed for bankruptcy. My father used to travel there with his family as a kid in the fifties and sixties, so this was depressing news; I’ve been there a number of times.

The owner tried to recoup some funding by selling off everything in the gift shop. The Staties showed up and shut it down, and I believe there are charged being filed against the owner of the lodge.

This whole thing is just WRONG.

Most likely the slightest increase in cases will be called a “spike” and used as an excuse to stall, even if they involve 90 year olds in hospice care.

I should think if Gov. Pritzker unconstitutionally extended the shutdown beyond the lawful 30 days, he would be open to a lawsuit.
