Around 1 p.m. on Feb. 23, a warm Sunday afternoon a couple weeks after the Super Bowl, yet another unarmed black man was killed in the United States.
Ahmaud Arbery, an avid jogger, left Brunswick, a primarily black city in southeast Georgia. Running through the predominantly white neighbouring community of Santilla Shores, Arbery was chased down in a truck, confronted and fatally shot by George and Travis McMichael, a father and son who allegedly believed Arbery was responsible for burglaries in their neighborhood.

Really? Let's see.
Around 1 p.m. on Feb. 23, a warm Sunday afternoon a couple weeks after the Super Bowl... Well it was high of 66 in Brunswick on February 23rd, which is pretty warm. And it was three weeks after the Super Bowl. Seems accurate.
...yet another unarmed black man was killed in the United States. He was black, and he was unarmed. Check.
Ahmaud Arbery, an avid jogger, left Brunswick, a primarily black city in southeast Georgia. Brunswick is about 60% black, which is primarily black. Check. And people say he was jogging.
Running through the predominantly white neighbouring community of Santilla Shores... Santilla Shores is predominately white. That's accurate.
...Arbery was chased down in a truck... Looked like a light colored pick up as a matter of fact. The killer and his father say that they were following him. Check.
...confronted and fatally shot by George and Travis McMichael... They admit they confronted him and he certainly is dead. So no lie there.
...a father and son... If not then Mrs. McMichael has some explaining to do to Mr. McMichael.
...who allegedly believed Arbery was responsible for burglaries in their neighborhood. And that's what they told the police, so no lie there.
Where are all the lies?
Would you feel comfortable with your daughter dating Arbery? No? Then shut up.
Wowwww
peeps like you really exist in 2020.
Amazing
Dream on, make crap up in your own mind.
You are a very scary M Fr and I feel sorry for your Orb
You forgot the statistic for the number of blacks murdered by blacks every year.
It’s been reported that 93% of black homicide victims are killed by other blacks.
Yes. Yes, it does.
It sends a powerful message that he should shut up.
So you saw two shots and others saw three.even on the 911 call from daddy dearest, there are 3 shots, one LOUD 2 not so loud, more muffled. A close look at frame 1 shows smoke going to the right past Arbery.
And three afterwards.
That was a real cop with real arresting authority who took more of a beating that I believe he should and lawfully defended himself from an assailant.
A couple yahoos in a pick up truck with guns are not the same situation.
That isn’t how it works
With Citizen’s Arrest, you have to be 100% certain and correct. If you “arrest” an innocent person, then you are punished. And if you kill them in the process, that is murder.
Welcome to the real world.
You asked how we knew he was a thief. The theft of the television proves he is a thief. The theft of the fishing gear, the purse and the handgun are the work of a thief, and he is the only known thief in the area.
There might have been another thief that stole those other items, but we have no evidence of another thief, and unless evidence emerges of another thief, it is reasonable (Occam's Razor) to believe the known thief is the thief for those items too.
He was unarmed and chased down by two people with guns.
He was not "chased." They waited for him on the road, and *HE* approached them.
And no one expected him to put up a fight.
This is correct. No one expected him to put up a fight because to fight someone with a shotgun is insane. No reasonable person would believe an unarmed man would try to assault a man holding a shotgun. It is inconceivable.
So, you are saying its OK to stop someone on the street because of a crime the committed 3 years ago?
Try again.
No it is not, and you know very well I am not saying that.
What I am saying is that due to the fact he was convicted of thievery, we know he is a thief.
The two men did not attempt to stop Arbery for what he did three years ago. They attempted to stop Arbery for what he had been doing for the last three months.
And these doings were known to the two men.
The race baiters, the hustlers, the professional agitators have taken their drums and joined the fray. The drums of unrest will beat with increasing frenzy for eons. The damage done to the good people of Georgia by the act of two idiots has yet to be determined.
The following has been mentioned:1.) Enacting a hate crime law. 2.) Amending of abolishing the Citizens Arrest Law. Plus what the race hustlers can dream up.
In the end, there will be no winners, just different degrees of losers/p>
Even a first year law student, In about two seconds.
There is about 20 years to life difference. Police Officers are given more latitude in the use of deadly force that citizens.
And you just skip important details like the man being a known thief, good probable cause for holding him, refusing to just stop and talk, and violently attacking a man who had not actually pointed a gun at him until after he was attacked.
Yes, I think citizens should stop suspected thieves running down the street, and if they need a gun to do it, so much the better.
God only knows the legal system favors the thieves more than it does honest people.
The race baiters, the hustlers, the professional agitators have taken their drums and joined the fray. The drums of unrest will beat with increasing frenzy for eons. The damage done to the good people of Georgia by the act of two idiots has yet to be determined.
And here is where I think you and others are really at. You abhor the difficulty this makes for your political goals, and you are not looking at this as a matter of simple justice and law. You are looking at this through the lens of "this hurts our cause."
Fīat jūstitia ruat cælum!
Repeating crap.
That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Unfortunately, the law[s] of Georgia don't agree with you. They are who mind you will have to change. They are who you should argue with. In fact, it probably wouldn't hurt the guy's case if you wrote the Attorney General, the Prosecutor, and the head of the GBI a letter including your version of the facts, the issues in controversy, your assessment of the case and close by informing them them what a bunch of crooks you believe they are. And cc copies to the Governor.
They do indeed agree with me. You just wish it to be otherwise. If you need an explanation about the laws of Georgia, I can highly recommend woodpusher to give you a lesson.
Form the beginning, you have been saying that the father son team was not guilty of the offense they are charged with.
The State of Georgia implies via the fact that they are charged and arrested that they can and will prove these charges in a Court of Law at the appropriate time. How can you be in agreement?
