State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R) of Butler County is slated to propose a resolution calling for the impeachment of Gov. Tom Wolf (D), contending that the governor has violated a number of our God-given rights affirmed in the United States Constitution.
Metcalfe sent a memo to colleagues on Friday, asking them to cosponsor his measure to impeach the governor over his administrations response to the coronavirus in the Keystone State. In the memo, Metcalfe states that Wolfs order mandating the closure of physical locations of all businesses that he has deemed non-life sustaining has violated our citizens rights in many devastating ways.
His order constitutes a taking of property from business owners without just compensation. The lack of due process and judicial review permitted under his order also violates the Constitution, he said, adding that the stay-at-home order has violated Pennsylvanians rights to free speech and assembly.
The Butler County Republican also told colleagues that the Wolf administration has lacked transparency as agencies under his control have stopped responding to requests for records and his office has refused to provide vital information a reference to the shadowy business waiver program allowing certain nonessential businesses to apply for exemptions to operate while the stay-at-home order remains in place. The Department of Community and Economic Development only granted waivers to 6,123 businesses, and the administration has yet to provide the criteria used to determine which businesses were granted waivers.
His delays and obfuscation have been, and continue to be, entirely unacceptable, Metcalfe said....The governor must be held accountable for his actions that have harmed so many of our citizens and violated so many of our rights, the state lawmaker added. No individual or office is above the law.

That speaks ill of the attention span of my fellow Pennsylvanians. Wolf made a big show of this virtue signaling appointment not long after taking office himself.
Perhaps this awarness now will change that equation.
Works for me.
I’d like to see someone go after Cuomo too for impeachment, although this works for me.
Report: Cuomo sued for abuse of power amid coronavirus pandemic
As a point of information, U.S. law provides penalties for any public official who uses his powers to deny citizens' rights under the Constitution. Penalties include fining, imprisoning, or death.
To wit:
"Section 242, Title 18, makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the U.S. Constitution or laws of the United States.
"The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any."
Neither Gates nor Soros or the democRATS, whose thumbs he appears to be under, will suffer consequences of these hardline actions Wolf is taking. But Wolf will.
At some point if he pushes too hard and tries to use law enforcement or the National Guard like Inslee of Washington state is doing, to forcibly enforce his edicts, people will retaliate. The country is already divided over this issue. People are seeing their lives and livelihoods waste away and their economic futures thrown away. Virus or not, violence could break out. Blood could be shed.
New Yorkers won’t act against Cuomo, he taps into their “feel good” emotions while he hands out free candy so all is good.
......”At some point if he pushes too hard and tries to forcibly enforce his edicts, people will retaliate”.....
Oh Wolf already went beyond that when he called Pa. voters ‘cowards’.....those are fighting words!
The Pennsylvania Legislature should end the state of emergency AND remove its governor from office. Resistance only is insufficient, his governorship must be destroyed.
I know a couple PA restaurant owners who are desperate to reopen - and they believe they can do so safely and LEGALLY, but they dont dare cross the Governor.
Its not law enforcement they are afraid of - since the law is on their side - they fear regulatory retaliation fro the LCB and other agencies.
Elected Democrats are being ordered by the Deep State to keep this economic lockdown in place as long as possible, but they’re forgetting the people who are being affected the most from this are many of their own voters!
Takes courage to act.....that’s it.
Demorats don’t care about their voters......not when keeping them locked down means federal funds run into their coffers....They’re going to bleed every cent they can while they can becase they only have concerns THEY survive.
It takes a 2/3 vote to impeach:
State Senate 28 R - 21 D - 1 Indy
State House: 110 R - 93 D
They should have impeached the State Supreme Court in ‘18 but didn’t.
Most Pennsylvanians agree with Metcalfe.
This is the most corrupt administration I have seen in my 60 years as a resident of the Commonwealth.
Ironically, Commonwealth means “the common good.”
What Wolfe has done is not for the common good, but rather to the detriment of the people.
The PA health person needs to be sued
AWESOME MEME!
Haven’t laughed so long since TSHTF in early March.
I NEEDED that!
So tell Thomas Wolf he can go home again.
Aint we literary sophisticates here? Yessir.
Ping for an awesome meme.
and she always has that weird, odd smile on her face...strange chick.
