Washington Governor To Residents: COVID-Test-Deniers Will Not Be Allowed To Leave Home To Get Groceries
DC Dirty Laundry ^ | 14 May 20 | Tyler Durden

At his May 12 press conference, Washington State Governor Jay Inslee laid out the plans for the statewide contact tracing initiative.

“[The initiative] is robust, it is vigorous and it is comprehensive, and it needs to be all three to be successful,” Inslee said.

“If we do not succeed in this second stage of our efforts, this virus could come bright back and bite us.”

As LynnwoodTimes.com’s Luke Putvin notes, the information Inslee provided was labeled as “Contact Tracing: Box in The Virus.” The steps were listed as follows:

Contact tracing involves interviewing people with positive COVID-19 tests to identify who they’ve been in contact with, getting those people tested and then making sure they isolate themselves and their families.

As the press conference went on, one question kept coming up – what about enforcement? How will you ensure residents comply and what if they don’t?

The answer is as scary as many have worried about. As Putvin reports, for those businesses/individuals that don’t comply, the governor stated that he confirmed with Attorney General Bob Ferguson, there will be sanctions in civil or criminal court.

At timestamp 38:55 in the video of the press conference below, one reporter asked:

 When it comes to contact tracing, how are you guys going to handle people or families who want to refuse to test or to self isolate?

If they want to leave their home to get groceries I know you’ve said they can’t do that; how will you make sure they don’t?

Trump will let this go on and not intervene. This is wrong.

It's been getting crazier by the minute out there since breathing in public was declared a sin.

Great way of putting it! And true: mask-wearing has become the visible sign that you follow the new religion of total obedience to the government.

Contact tracing does have its uses in the very early stages as was done back in February when the first guy ended up in the hospital. Maybe even to the middle of March when it was still pretty much confined to the nursing home type places.

Now the testing can only be used as a general overview of “hotspots” and where to shift resources (medical supplies, etc.)

Is there any state that isn’t building a “contract tracing” army?

And in turn, though they haven’t all spilled the beans yet, the rapid isolation of those who have either tested positive or been seen to be in contact with someone who has tested positive?

This totalitarianism is outrageous and seems to be the end game of this new version of “contract tracing”. We are hearing about it at the local level from officials from CA to FL. I know the UK is on the same course, so its got to come from some global source and plans. What is that? The WHO, which of course is part of the UN?

This medical militarism is a far greater threat than the virus. But where is Trump on this? We know Congress is trying to get it funded on a massive scale, so it’s not news to them.

Yeah, but the only way you can go get the popcorn is if you get tested first. See how it works?

Stopping the virus is clearly not what this is about.

In fact, if they stopped the virus they’d have to spring another one on us, just to have an excuse to spread this level of control across the world.

And Limbaugh wasn’t sure whether or not to believe the caller. I hope someone sends Limbaugh this.

And where in Hades is the DOJ?!

Talk is cheap.

Any requirement to be tested is a violation of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibitions against searches and seizures without a warrant, and a warrant requires specific probable cause, not a general fear or suspicion.

It’s also a violation of the prohibition against Bills Of Attainder, and of the due process requirements of both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.

For that reason, any enforcement any of such law or gubernatorial executive order is a felony violation of Title 18, section 242 of the US Code—which can be enforced against absolutely anyone, including governors, state legislators, county sheriffs and municipal police officers.

I must have tuned out at the break. I didn’t hear that.

He needs to vet things, but he needs to be respectful and
check things out too.

That’s right, they won’t even have to make it technically mandatory to make it practically mandatory.

Rush is behind the curve on the tyranny that is evolving before our very eyes. Today he will have thought it through and condemn it, but demand no threats of violence. He fears being labeled as the focal point for the “violent right”.

At least Broward County is planning this. I don’t know how many counties in FL might be.

I didn’t see him as calling her a liar.

I just saw him covering his posterior. She was making a
pretty bold claim.

He can’t just act as if everything said on the air is 100%
accurate, when it’s a bit out there.

I don’t think she deserved to be ridiculed.

There is an effort to make it so they can track folks in
real time documenting who people are meeting with.

It’s couched in terms as if it’s just protecting us from
people with COVID-19, but the implications are dire > IMO.

Just as they did with 9/11, they aren’t going to let this crisis go to waste.

“She was making a pretty bold claim.”

She was, but I had heard about that same thing happening, or serious discussions about it being instituted, in other states. Maybe he hadn’t heard, but some had. I think he could’ve been more respectful toward her until he could check it out.

He was covering his posterior during the call, and I got that. But later, with the, “Mithter Limbaugh!” shtick — it went too far.
