Elon Musk has announced that he plans to move the Tesla HQ to Texas and Nevada 'immediately' after a California county health official said that the plant could not reopen.
The disgruntled CEO took to a comment thread on Twitter to share that he was also planning to file a lawsuit against Alameda County.
'Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately,' he said in the Saturday tweet. 'If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependent on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.'

Headquarters and manufacturing plants are not the same thing. I doubt Fremont will stop making cars anytime soon.

I understand Musk’s been using the factory Cuomo built in Buffalo to build ventilators. It was originally slated to build solar panels, but the deal between Tesla and Sony broke down, and Sony pulled out, leaving a billion dollar construction project worth only $75 million is a recent audit. That project, like the Syracuse, New York projects that went bust, ended up with people going to prison for fraud. One of the individuals in the solar panel factory build who went to prison was the President of the construction company.
