Majorities in all three states don't think their states should reopen any time soon. Timeframes for when voters in each of these states think it will be safe to begin to lift their state's stay at home order and reopen the economy are below.

In the next few months or longer:

Connecticut: 59 percent; New York: 58 percent; New Jersey: 55 percent.

Immediately, or in the next few weeks:

Connecticut: 38 percent; New York: 38 percent; New Jersey: 39 percent.

OK, let's keep New York Shut down for another 3 months and see what happens. These people are so stupid they'd elect a Cuomo.

Was talking to some some neighbors today..in the parking lot and some of them are very afraid. Older people so they won’t change their minds.

Then let them stay home. Nobody’s forcing them to go out.

Not in Florida...they just allowed in-restaurant dining with spaced seating and today it looked to me like every available table in my local fave was full at lunch time. People were having joyful reunions with their favorite servers and managers. And very few masks.

I know everybody calls Floridians crazy, but maybe we’re crazy in the right way.

Another day, another fake push poll.
Just end the bloody lockdowns and let everyone decide for themselves whether to go out to eat or not.
Barber shops etc had very long lines in Georgia when they were allowed to open again. Some barbers even had people call at their homes before they could go to their shops.

I’ve been meeting my friends once a month at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York for many years now. It’s only about 20 minutes from me. We usually meet for lunch at the buffet, and then play slot machines for a few hours. We were there in early March before the lockdown. I will definitely not be eating any of the Chinese dishes they offer in the buffet when they do finally open up. I’m done with anything Chinese.

Viewed in the not so long run, this is a good development. It shows Americans, as a group, are responsible adults who can make their own decisions without government coercion. IOW, those who fell themselves most at risk are staying in and the others are coming out. Thus self restraint is doing what government restraint is not needed for and the economy will promptly rebound as long as people are freely allowed to make their own decisions.

Had dinner last night at my favorite place.
Obviously much slower than normal, waitstaff was all masked up and such, the bar area was closed so you had to sit in the dining area, but it was good food all the same.

And for what they were allowing inside, the place was full and they were asking if you could limit you stay to no longer that 90 minutes to try and seat as many as possible.

The manager was saying that they were looking into the possibilities of hanging uv lights throughout the place.
I do not know much about it, but she was saying that there is a light of a certain frequency/spectrum that kills the virus, but doesn’t do damage to skin or eyes.
Who knows, but it sounded interesting and if true could be a step in the right direction to make folks feel more at ease.

These idiots wearing their cloth mask all day, again the next day and everyday are making another health crisis.

1st. They are wearing the same mask all day and constantly adjusting it, many times after handling something someone else touched with glove hands, which was in turn touched by others with gloved hands(more on gloves later)

The moisture from your breath is causing a vapor barrier in the mask which quickly leads to C02 sequestration making it more difficult to breathe.

Many people, including myself, are only using the damn thing for maybe 10 minutes at most before it become intolerable and then it’s off the face completely, only to be put on again for the next belly button -belly button engagement with another supposed human being.

2nd They are not changing these masks at anytime during a shift and most 95% of wearers do not wash them at the end of shift.

Which means all that huffing, puffing, chokin, sneezin, wheezin and all the other germs they rubbed all over the mask the day before, are going to be layered with the germs on both sides of the mask as the next day goes on.

This will follow for the next day, and they next day and so on.

Essentially, it’s like wearing your underwear or diaper 2, 3, 4, 5 or more days in a row!!!

And the gloved hands just keep accumulating and piling more crap on the mask as time goes on.

Stop the Madness!

Besides, aren’t they a few months shy and several lives late on this ?

I quit going to fast food over this and then today I ordered a sandwich from Togo’s. They now have the same protocol and I am done with them for the same reasons.

Not a political issue for me. A health issue and it’s disgustingly gross.

The generation that lived through the depression and WWII would be absolutely ashamed to see what’s become of Americans. No grit, entitled, no intellectual curiousity, and lacking courage. Willing to trade freedom for empty promises of security.

GWB began the serious erosion of our freedoms, and we are witnessing a much darker phase.

My worthless opinion? I don’t believe these numbers. Everything is being padded to justify the draconian measures taken against citizens.
