Social distancing is bit like driving on the freeway these days.

Truckers aren’t being kept sharp with packed traffic and are constantly drifting into other lanes.

Yungins, full of testosterone, are speeding down the freeway at speeds of 100mph + and many times their buddies are following in 2, 3 and 4 more cars.

All that while they make the most unsafe lane changes, tailgate and more.

So, with people spread out they won’t be watching their social hygiene as much as they would when in a crowd.

I think those lil punks will play licking games with food and the containers they come in.

So, no. Until they make like normal, I won’t be going....

I am beginning to call the deep blue states The Iron Curtain States. They are every bit as oppressive and tyrannical as The Iron Curtain States were during the cold war.
They need to remember what happened to those states.

"These idiots wearing their cloth mask all day, again the next day and everyday are making another health crisis."

I've tried to wear a mask for the first time twice this past week when I've gone grocery shopping, and both times I came home with a headache, and my sinuses acting up. I end up having to take a 24-hour Loratadine pill to counteract it. I don't know if it's something in the mask itself that irritates it or what. I'm not wearing the damn thing anymore.

We HAVE to hope that Cuomo’s Stalinist tactics have pissed off a lot of his LIEberal supporters; after all, he IS an equal opportunity Stalinist Dictator!

And, since a LIEberal is a person who has never been mugged, and Cuomo and DeBlasio are equal opportunity muggers, when they are finished mugging, there should be a lot of former LIEberals in NY!

Real Soon Now!

Well, if there are only 25% of seats available, that will work out about right.

For now.

“...his 15 stool bar will be limited to only 5 stools. Some camaraderie among patrons that will encourage.”

Provide patrons with tin cans & string.

Just kidding!!

All the Cows they use have had a Brazilian? Better than getting hair between your teeth while you’re eating.

Some people fail miserably at critical thinking.
Won’t eat in the dining room but will take food home and eat it without a second thought. Sure, you avoided fellow diners, but how about the kitchen help? Did they wash their hands?
Why is it safer to sit in an airline seat than a restaurant? A church pew?

"I ate a the Brazilian steakhouse at the top of the escalator about 6 years ago during a golf outing there. Must be gone now."

Yeah, they did a big revamp of restaurants a while back. Re-did what they call the Food Hall, and over the past year put in a Sports betting lounge with multiple giant-screens and seating, where the patio seating for the buffet used to be. There's no more waterfalls or water feature. When we were there in March they were still doing construction in the place, and they re-did the sit-down Emerald Restaurant that's been there since the place opened. It's been over 20 years now.

Let the Karen's stay home, it will be easy to find a seat at the bar.

I wish there was a thumbs up feature on FR.

This is going to be a long process. People won’t put themselves in danger.

Lots of people talk about Sweden, even though Sweden was never under lock down, people by and large were avoiding bars and restaurants.

This is why the HCQ studies are so important. If they can prove that their is an effective treatment it will help calm down the situation.

That's a great name for them, and I hope you don't mind my stealing the term when I post elsewhere.

Yes! This is the question that must be asked and isn’t being asked!

“What if they are open for business but few customers show up?”

Re-opening isn’t enough. There must be two steps:
1) Win the confidence of potential customers that they will be safe.
2) Re-open

Why do we want to be a tourist, attend a sporting event, hear a concert, or grab a beer at our neighborhood bar? Because it’s fun and relaxing, not because we want to show we’re not afraid to die. If everyone is gingerly avoiding each other among plexiglas barriers, it’s not fun or relaxing. And it’s a constant reminder of potential danger.

We’ll don our masks, grit our teeth and go buy groceries, drug store items, building materials, and gardening tools. We’ll sit alone in the shop with the masked stylist to get our hair cut. But who’s going to clothing stores, book stores, furniture stores, etc when it feels dangerous to browse and you’re discouraged from doing so anyway?

Consumer confidence is absolutely critical to re-opening the economy, and only continually plummeting numbers of new disease cases can win that confidence.

California is a bad as East Germany, New York as bad a Romania?

You really believe that?

Their Governments suck for sure, but hyperbole like that discredits our side.
