The DOJ decision would appear to put an end to that process.
Earlier Thursday, the top prosecutor on the case, Brandon Van Grack, abruptly withdrew from the case, without explanation, in a brief filing with the court.
Breadcrumbs were being dropped in the days preceding the decision that his case could be reconsidered. Documents unsealed a week ago by the Justice Department revealed agents discussed their motivations for interviewing him in the Russia probequestioning whether they wanted toget him to lie so he'd be fired or prosecuted, or get him to admit wrongdoing. Flynn allies howled over the revelations, arguing that he was essentially set up in a perjury trap. In that interview, Flynn did not admit wrongdoing and instead was accused of lying about his contacts with the then-Russian ambassador to which he pleaded guilty.
Then on Wednesday, the DOJ released a mostly unredacted version of former acting Attorney General Rod Rosensteins August 2017 scope memo, outlining the authority then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller had for his investigation. That document revealed for the first time that Muellers authority went significantly beyond what was previously known.
Rosensteins memo was known to have authorized Mueller to probe any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump, and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation, and any other matters within the scope of [obstruction of justice laws].
But the new document made clear that Rosenstein authorized a deep-dive criminal probe into the Trump campaign that extended well beyond Russian interference efforts.
The memo revealed that Mueller was, among other things, looking into whether Flynn committed a crime or crimes by engaging in conversations with Russian government officials during the period of the Trump transition.

“Here’s one side of history. Q and me are on it.
Here’s the other side of history. You’re on it.”
Yep, that’s exactly where I want to be, on the opposite side of delusional idiots who fall prey to amateur con men.
Yep, opposite of lunatics.
Yes.
Another trump win.
I just can't help trying to wake up the sheeps. We could use them.
They're right about most everything else.
Yep, I agree with you on that. If you were to rank him where would he be?
Cause your ignorant temper tantrum against Trump's Q program is failing? Today was a bad day for you.
I'd be mad too if it was me. But I wouldn't continue to dig the hole.
Stop now. You may still be redeemed.
Q is merciful.
Hahahahaha.
Q+ IS Trump. This is proven many, many times and the fact is not in question.
“Q+ IS Trump.”
No he isn’t.
“This is proven many, many times and the fact is not in question.”
Yeah, just because you’ve “proven” it to yourself with your pretzel logic doesn’t make it so.
FLYNN IS SAFE - circa 2017.

LOLOLOLOL. Keep em coming, this is hilarious.
"Stop now. You may still be redeemed."
Too late, Jesus already redeemed me. Anyway, it's been fun but I have to get some work done, so I'll just leave you with this:
At least, the wheels of Justice begin their roll.
Well, that’s a tough one, especially as he’s not even finished with one term yet. Definitely best President in my lifetime, except for maybe Ronald Reagan. Don’t know if I’m willing to put him above the Gipper before we see how everything shakes out.
Their spin will fail. They's a whole lotta mo coming out.
Watch Grenell.
Why didn't the House return to work this week? Was it the rona? Or...
#PanicInDC
Congratulations. You are on that side of history.
Watch what happens next.
Yea, he is. Stop disrespecting my President.
Yeah, just because youve proven it to yourself with your pretzel logic doesnt make it so.
If your brain worked right, you could use pretzel logic and prove it to yourself too.

I accept your surrender.
See ya next time, normie.
Tell the other sheeps I said what's up.
Question: As I understand it, the judge in the case, Emmet Sullivan, is a stickler for exculpatory material (Brady material) being disclosed, but I also thought that he was the one who openly berated Flynn in court at some point (probably after his confession was entered), even accusing him of treason, etc.
The question is, do I have that right? If so, Judge Sullivan’s reaction to all this is going to be interesting, assuming he was so taken in by the prosecution’s case that he felt justified in severely humiliating Flynn in court. I’m reasonably certain that Judge Sullivan is one of the good guys, so that makes it doubly interesting, in that he could do a complete 180 on the prosecutor (who just withdrew from the case, apparently.)
“Prosecute” them all but leave the cooks, to after chow” Old Military Cliche. Strzok and shackee first in line! Will he smirk for the cameras?
