Today, Governor Kristi Noem announced that South Dakota, with Sanford Health leading the effort, will be the first state with a comprehensive, statewide clinical trial to determine the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in treating and preventing COVID-19.
“From day one, I’ve said we’re going to let the science, facts, and data drive our decision-making in South Dakota,” said Noem. “Throughout last week, I communicated with White House officials to let them know that South Dakota’s medical community was ready to step up and lead the way on research efforts. I made direct requests to President Trump and Vice President Pence to supply us with enough hydroxychloroquine so that it could be made available for every hospitalized person the state may have as well as for those healthcare workers on the frontlines and those in the most vulnerable populations.
“Today, I’m pleased to report we have received the initial doses we need, and thanks to the leadership of Sanford Health and the assistance of the medical teams at Avera and Monument Health, we’re going to be the first state in the nation to do a comprehensive clinical trial to assess whether hydroxychloroquine can treat and perhaps even prevent COVID-19.”

I completely disagree with your nice guy assertion.
He made some personal assumptions about General Flynn that aided in the railroading of a man the Trump administration desperately needed. His actions to date don’t go all that far towards making amends.
It’s good that Pence won’t be alone with women not his wife, but he doesn’t make things right when he screws someone over.
He doesn’t appear anywhere on my list of potential candidates for 2024.

Pence just the other day admitted he was wrong about Lt.Gen. Flynn. He acknowledged the overwhelming evidence Flynn was targeted and setup. Framed. Pence was fooled by the Deep State targeting of Flynn.

Any doc with a valid license can prescribe it. Various governors have put restrictions on pharmacies from dispensing.

Also, encourage PCR testing.
After you do that, you can run all the state trials you want.
A simple acknowledgement is not at all making amends.

There’s a key potential benefit right there, that the treatment is prophylactic.
Glad she is doing it but the fact that this has taken so long for some state to do is frankly outrageous.
We should already have study results by this point.
I am extremely glad it is her state where the results will be honest and not FAKE as I am sure NY was!! Giving people the drugs after they are ventilated does no good we need to keep folks OUT OF hospitals!!

My wifes niece is close to her. She works on the child trafficking and slavery programs the Governor supports, and this lady leads. Governor Noem is an inspiration.
