‘...dressing all in white...”
I picked up on that as well.
If anyone here on FR has an inside channel to the President. Please tell him that Martha Maccallum and Brett Baier are fake news like the rest of them and NOT to be trusted.
No more Faux News town halls. Period.
Unless Cuomo and De Blasio empty the NYC Subways of the Homeless dregs of society, The great White Way, Broadway and all the famous Midtown fine restaurants will starve to death!!!
No sane New Yorker will board one subway car to travel amid the waste feces and urine of all the Homeless, mentally and criminally ill that now call the NYC Subway System....”Home Sweet Home”!!!

I am completely aware of the fact that a single test is only for that moment in time.
If we are requiring perfection, we should never be leaving our homes. Let's not have perfect become the enemy of the good. Best I can find, we are up to 6 trillion in stimulus. We are finding AN EXTRA $600 a week ON TOP OF regular unemployment essentially paying people not to work. All with Trump's blessing.
And we can't find the resources to create enough Abbott labs to test everyone on a weekly basis? Abbott is making 2 million tests a month. One company. Trump went days taking over companies to make ventilators and basing entire press conferences on it. But something comparable can't be done with something that could rid the virus of hosts in a month? Week by week the numbers would drop until logistically the virus was starved of hosts and disappear.
What would your visceral reaction be if today it was announced that the NFL, with all their billions, had made a deal with a testing company and found a way to allow entrance for a good portion of fans every week who had been tested negative immediately prior to entrance? I would be high fiving the air based on their ingenuity.
That's just one example shooting from the hip but where has that thinking gone in this extraordinary country? That is exactly who Donald Trump was a builder. Anything was within reach. That's not who I see anymore. Last night he acknowledged kids in masks when they return to school in the fall. That's right to election time. And if that is where we are then and what we have gone through right through the summer, then Trump's re-election will be doubtful in my opinion. At least come out with logistical experts at a press conference and tell us exactly why we are spending trillions on 'stimulus' but it makes no sense to maybe spend a fraction of that on producing the machines, tests, and personnel that could definitively end this virus and truly return us back to a recognizable society.
He is an arrogant, little Trump-hating
poseur.
These “news” media people realy develop a greatly exaggerated sense of their own importance.
See this post for info on disabling the spy features on your smart TV.

You should really sit down and try to count to 330 million. That's the estimated population of this country. If you count one number every second, it will take you ten years to count everyone.
There is no way in hell we can test all 330 million people in this country even ONCE -- let alone on a weekly basis.
There's a huge difference between testing 80,000 people at a football stadium and testing 330 million people ... and yet the NFL will not even try to test spectators at a game. The NFL's only interest in testing is to keep PLAYERS and TEAM STAFF from spreading the virus among themselves. They'll play games with no spectators for a decade before they ever take on the responsibility of testing their fans.
Where we’re all the questions from among the tens of millions of people whose lives and livelihoods that Fauci and other slimy dictators lay in ruins? Absent! C’mon Trump!
Sorry for the computer-butchered syntax.
Watched it, an excellent job. Trump gets an A++ for his handling of this pandemic.
OK?

1. The first test should be an antibody test to rule out a big chunk of the population who have had it.
2. Communities with few to no cases would not have to be tested.
3. VERY IMPORTANT. The ‘test’ is simply a swab of the mouth. Locations could be set up anywhere there is a decent size parking lot. Every school is currently available. Times could be set up by street, last name, etc. Set up enough sites (lots of people are out of work, plenty of personnel) and have it 24 hours a day so that it takes no time at all to get swabbed.
4. The swabs are then transported to machines that are at central sites that make the actual determinations.
5. Set up quarantine sites at vacant hotels (lots of those right now) for those who test positive.
6. All this can go on with no change in current routines. Ballpark of one month after beginning, no more virus. Then the celebration Trump talked about long ago begins.
If everything they have told us is true, then this is the only way we return to a recognizable society any time in the future. Otherwise it is going to linger, linger, and linger with Masks, distancing, no sports becoming the norm. Just a few examples. And very possibly cost Trump the election in the fall. And then the real nightmare begins. Trump’s past has always been to do exceptional things. We are an incredible country that has always risen when up against our greatest enemies. But we don’t even consider this? Personally I am saddened, baffled and not optimistic at all. And I’m sure you consider me a lunatic so I appreciate that you responded without anything personal.
Thank you.
Well,Sir, we hate to tell you, but your computer is broken.
We can sell you a new one.
LOL, I hear ya. I should have mentioned that we ONLY use the Geek Squad when setting up a TV or other TV-related devices (I just don't understand "TV" as well as I do computers).
My husband and I use an awesome company based in nearby Windsor, CT to build/service our PC (found them years ago on Angie's List). We haven't bought any kind of PC from a store in a long, long time. This company does such a great job in building computers, that we go many years before we have to see them again for any kind of major upgrade.
We also use Apple devices though: iPhones and iPads. We've gotten occasional help from the folks at Verizon and/or Apple Store.
I will read the info at every link and come to a decision soon. Thanks again! :-)
I watch some on my computer. Have a couple of screens and sometime they come in handy. Watch and surf at the same time.
(You have mail.)
Ipads, cell phones and my old android gets them, also.
Take care........pilgrim
Thanks again, FRiend! :-)
Thank you!
The state of emergency orders (and the extensions to them) allow the governors to do things like make stay at home/shelter in place orders and extend or decrease them as well as close schools, businesses, etc...
I'd also point out that using antibody tests is probably even less effective than you realize. I have come across several reports out of Asia indicating that many COVID-19 patients were testing NEGATIVE for antibodies even just 4-6 weeks after they recovered. So the whole "if you had it you're immune now" angle may be a complete farce.
As someone who works in a (non-medical) STEM field where testing and documentation are part of what I do regularly, I find myself constantly reminding even educated people that their expectations of 100% precision and accuracy are delusional.
Yeah, cause it was the flubros who were spewing the dem party line in the first place.
Just go out and live your life and don’t worry about the virus.
Worked out really well for NYC didn’t it?
