Yesterday, we received a desperate call from a Kansas City, Missouri, church whose local government is reaching new and terrifying heights in destroying our constitutional freedom. The Kansas City government is now DEMANDING that churches turn over membership lists, along with the names, telephone numbers and physical addresses of anyone who enters a church! This order also applies to all businesses.

Nope.
“applies to all businesses.”

“No attribution in the article. I call BS.”
10/10/10 rule for all businesses.
Just change the name from “church” to “mosque”, and the rule will go away.
Not to worry. The ACLU will put a stop to this.

This may be related to their government wanting all businesses to record who their customers are:
“Why are you requiring certain businesses to record information about customers?
One of the primary means for transmission of COVID-19 is in-person interactions that last more than a few minutes. By recording customer names, businesses will enable the Kansas City Health Department to more quickly trace, test, and isolate individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19 if an employee or customer had the virus at the time they frequented the business. All data obtained by the Department of Public Health will remain confidential and will be used only to address public health concerns and contact individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19.”
Only parts of MO. The little dictators are taking full advantage and keeping their little areas under lock and key, some indefinitely.

Abridges the 1st amendment.
I am sure AG Barr is eyeballing this one.
I don’t care what or which house of hailing divinity it is, somebody needs to tell those nosy fools to bugger off, and I would accept any delivery system of that retort!
This is unconstitutional!!
If this is an accurate account of what is going on, they need to get in touch with the US Attorney in the area. AG Barr issued a memorandum regarding balancing public safety with Constitutional Rights. I would think circumstances such as this are exactly what he is talking about.

Copy of memorandum is at the link.
I would take this report with a grain of salt until there is confirmation. This would be a gross infringement of the state on religious freedom and totally unacceptable.
But this is the next step in the war on religious freedom. Remember when Obama was talking about the freedom to worship inside a church and that was basically what the First Amendment meant. He didn’t think the proclamation of one’s faith in public should be necessarily free of any regulation. Now they want to spy on churchgoers. They’ve already prevented us from entering the church grounds, and that might go on indefinitely as they keep moving the pandemic goalposts. I can’t imagine them doing this to a mosque, but that’s another issue.
There was a caller on Rush yesterday and I missed the first part of the call, but heard something about a state that wanted to keep the churches closed until October. I thought I heard that, but it went to commercial break. I didn’t get the name of the state.
I live on the KS side in the wilds of Leavenworth County, and the listing of names and numbers of anyone entering a store or other public building was officially floated by the county board. It was not enacted.
IDK about whether KC MO is trying this, but would be unsurprised.
What’s the big deal. Totalitarian China has been doing that for a few years now. Why shouldn’t the totalitarians here get onboard.
Just say no
I read more on the website, and it says if a patron sits at a business for 10 minutes, like in a beauty salon. That may be why this would include churches. Still, who wants that?

If this doesn’t set people off, I mean absolutely ballistic, then we’re done.
The Earl Warren Court of the 50s and 60s ruled it unconstitutional for the gov’t to require members of the Communist party to register. LOL I guess this is different
