This Wuhan communist disease has ripped the face masks off a gang of Democrat governors and mayors who exhibit disturbing symptoms of the Little Dictator Virus. Their voters are becoming increasingly alarmed at the symptoms: issuing irrational and unreasonable edicts and making them harsher at a whim, arbitrarily choosing some businesses to thrive and others to wither and die, parading around wearing diamond tiaras and the ermine robes of royalty in the privacy of their chambers.
Just kidding about the last one, but it sure seems that way to the peasants who are indeed revolting. In their determined oppression of their own citizens under the claim of saving them from body bags, the Democrat officials are giving their subjects a dramatic demo of who they really are. Like the aliens in the Men in Black films, they have shed their normal-looking human skin to reveal the fanged, scary authoritarian within.
Government-imposed totalitarianism is not going over well in the land of the free. Citizens are rising up across the nation against officials restricting their lives and destroying their livelihoods in ways unheard of here before now. Sparked by the Operation Gridlock that recently brought ten thousand protesters to the Michigan capitol, citizens in dozens of states are creating their own gridlocks.
On the sunny Sunday of April 19 in Denver, Colorado, thousands staged a drive-by car protest, honking horns and flying flags for hours on streets around the Capitol. I don’t know about that. Here in Ohio, DeWine (R), has been as authoritarian as most, and the people love it. He has an over 80% approval. The people can’t get enough of being told to lie on the couch and wait for a govt. check.
It’s mind boggling. I think President Trump’s re-election chances hinge on how well the economy does, or doesn’t bounce back. Clearly this is what the Dems are counting on as well.

I disagree; Trump's highest approvals were when he was 100% going along with Team Scarf's total lockdown. Most people LOVE the lockdown, and want more of it, and want those who won't comply punished.

There’s a revolt, and it’s the normal people. Proof of that is an editorial “cartoon” in a liberal newspaper depicting an ugly woman as a Trump supporter and demonstrating against the shutdown.
Trump is obviously on the side of the normal people, the ones with a functioning brain.
I think most of us would crawl over broken glass to get to the polls on election day to keep America great.

I couldn’t be more disgusted with DeWine. He’s a guy of slightly less than average intelligence who has fallen in love with his authoritarian role. I typically don’t wish ill on others, but these are strange times, and I wish a dose of covid on DeWine and his princess Acton.
It’s kind of odd to me. I’m old, most of this impacts me minimally. And yet, I’m infuriated. I guess I need to let it go, because the people all this affects most, seem to want it, even enjoy it.
You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out. America is hell bent on learning that lesson first hand.

Whether the economy “bounces back” or NOT, the DIMocRATS are headed for a BLOODBATH on 03NOV20, as most every voter (including the Democrats that think of themselves as “moderates”) that I know are DISGUSTED WITH & ANGRY AT the DIMs so-called “leadership”.
I might worry about President Trump’s chances of re-election IF the DIMocRATic Party had ANYONE, who has a prayer of winning in any even half-honest election.

Having worked in a war room as a paid consultant I can tell you the guys called “creatives” - the ones who take oppo search and turn it into TV radio and mail material, are JUMPING out of their skin! They must be racing into work every morning deliriously happy at all the material they are being handed. This oppo “Book” is writing itself. So, yes the Democrat governors are reelecting President Trump and handing the House back to the Republicans. Those who are constantly searching for reason to think Trump will lose so they can justify their fears will just have to be disappointed.
I don’t know if I agree with that. Aside from the relative few protesters, there doesn’t seem to be a groundswell of support for bringing these lockdowns to an end. In the lightly populated red states that never instituted lockdowns, a return to the status quo ante would seem to have more backing, but for the most part, Americans seem content with obeying orders to sit at home, as long as someone meets their needs.
Some Americans won't. Unfortunately, many, probably a majority, will.
