While many Americans are hopeful things will go back to normal by summertime, one leading health expert is not so sure the nation will be out of the woods by then.
Dr. Deborah Birx, leading health expert and member of the coronavirus task force, believes social distancing guidelines will be with the nation through the summer.
“Social distancing will be with us through the summer to really ensure that we protect one another as we move through these phases,” Birx said.

I’m forced to agree with you. Either he muzzles the doctors and starts injecting some hope into the economy or he’s going to be in real trouble.
Task Force rule #1 needs to be that NOBODY speaks to the press but Pence.
Guidelines are one thing. Mandatory with tickets or fines is something else.
I believe there will be people trying to spread covid to all places where it not prevalent now. All to keep America down just to make Trump look bad and it will be about the election. Trump has surrounded himself with some anti Trumper who are dead set on bring him and America down. NYC is not America and should not be treated as such. I am using common sense and avoiding crowed.

Not gonna happen. Closer we get to summer the more ridiculous these lockdowns will become and we will simply ignore. Yeah official festivals, parties, etc will stay cancelled but spontanious social gatherings will intentionally Spring up in Red states and will overwhelm any attempt to quell them. The new Trump rallies.
2 weeks of widespread random testing in Fl, NY, and Cal are showing that death rates are similar to flu, around .01 percent. This is new data a will be big news by the end of the week.

I have always been a strong Trump supporter, but I will not leave my better judgement and common sense at the door and pretend to not see what’s happening here!
Here’s the deal: social distancing is not stopping the spread of this bug. The numbers may have plateaued but they are not dropping. Thus, physical containment is impossible. This disease will reap its grim harvest no matter what we do.
All this social distancing is doing is delaying an inevitable outcome at the cost of destroying our country.
Pull the bandaid off, jump in the cold swimming pool. Let’s get it over with.

At first, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said he hoped he was not a character on the show, but when pressed a tad and given some options, it was clear who he wanted.

Pitt’s Dr Fauci pokes fun at Trump on Saturday Night Live
Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt has made an appearance on Saturday Night Live, playing the role of Anthony Fauci, America’s top public health adviser, to fact-check US President Donald Trump’s claims about coronavirus.
“Tonight I would like to try to explain what the President was trying to say,” Pitt, dressed in a wig and glasses, said. “Miracles shouldn’t be Plan A.”
After a clip in which Mr Trump appeared to float the question of injecting disinfectant or hitting the virus with a “very powerful light”, the video cut to Pitt as Dr Fauci with his head in his hands.
“I know I shouldn’t be touching my face, but … “ he says.
Dr Fauci has won widespread praise for his public messaging as COVID-19 spreads across the US, infecting more than 939,000 to date.
Mr Trump recently retweeted a post calling for Dr Fauci to be sacked, but later said he did not intend to fire him.
Pitt poked fun at that too, before finishing the show’s opening segment by thanking Dr Fauci for the messaging he has been delivering to Americans.
