A recent clinical trial in Brazil testing a high dose of chloroquine to treat hospitalized COVID-19 patients was halted after a spike in deaths among patients who received the drug.
According to The Associated Press, the drug also showed no benefit in a large analysis of its use in U.S. veterans hospitals. There were more deaths among those given hydroxychloroquine versus standard care, researchers reported.
On Friday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) advised that the drugs should be used only in clinical trials or at a hospital because of safety risks to patients and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has advised caution in prescribing them.
One of them needs as many casualties as possible.

This reminds me of the story in the Bible in John 9 where Jesus healed a man blind from birth on the sabbath. The established religious leaders of the day questioned both him and his parents intensely how this happened and called Jesus a sinner. The man answered and said: Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. The formerly blind man was then thrown out of the synagogue and excommunicated. Jesus met the man afterward and said: For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. While Trump is no saint, I see some parallels here.
