Nasal Irrigation Is the Key to Reducing COVID-19 Progression, Doctor Says

Though we may be getting closer, there is currently no known cure for the coronavirus that's shut down much of the world and taken hundreds of thousands of lives globally. But there may be some good news for those who have COVID-19, according to Amy Baxter, MD. The Atlanta-based doctor known for creative solutions to long-standing medical challenges is touting a lesser-discussed method to combat the progression of COVID-19 in patients who are positive: nasal irrigation.

After considerable research and talking to colleagues who focus on both ear, nose, and throat and pulmonary treatment, Baxter, CEO and founder of Pain Care Labs, told Best Life she "believe[s] strongly that nasal irrigation is the key to reducing COVID-19 progression of symptoms and infectivity."

Snip: For anyone exposed to or positive for COVID-19, Baxter offers the following specific self-treatment:

"Do a hypertonic nasal irrigation with 1/2 tsp. povidone-iodine in the a.m. and in the evening with 8 oz. boiled lukewarm tap water, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, and 1 tsp. salt per cup H20."

Maybe Trump had heard about this when he brought up using UV and disinfecting at yesterday's press conference.

Neti potting rocks. I use it all the time when I start to come down with a cold. Neti-pot twice a day and the cold either gets chased off or the worst part of it is dramatically shortened.

Just always use boiled water, not tap water. Google "brain-eating amoeba". :-O

Thanks to my intense pollen allergies, I have a natural flushing — several boxes of tissues per day — that won’t permit anything, virus or otherwise, to crawl up my nose.

Chew on a habanero and continue to blow your nose. Then drink warm water.

If I want to kill a cold in utero, I consume a large bowl of Szechuan hot and sour soup. Nothing living can survive that.

Nasal squeeze bottles work better.
I use them to reduce congestion from allergies.
I get them at CVS. I think walmart has them too.

Hot and sour soup is the elixir of the gods, especially if it has lots of sesame oil in it.

That’s exactly what I use. But I don’t use their expensive mix, just 1/4 t of baking soda and 1/4 t of kosher salt.

I’ve been snorting 3% hydrogen peroxide a couple times a week since this started.

It burns like crazy the first few times, but then you get used to it.

My sinuses have never been this clear for decades.

I am going to keep doing it.

Boiled water. Boiled water. Always. Let it cool until lukewarm, or keep it in a covered container & warm it up later on.

Neti pots do wonders. Had a sinus infection years ago, it sucked. It was cured, but Doc wants to keep you doped up on allergy Rx. I tried the Rx for a few months, hated the side effects, ditched the Rx, and bought a Neti pot. No regrets.
