Trump derangement syndrome (TDS), according to Urban Dictionary, is a “Contagious, debilitating psychiatric disorder manifesting in a precipitous decline in intellectual and emotional stability and resilience.” The contagious and debilitating bits sound much like the Wuhan flu.
TDS, also known in infectious disease circles as Covfefe-45, not to be confused with Covid-19, has mutated into another form, namely hydroxychloroquine derangement syndrome, referring to the abject media hysteria over the innocuous prescription medication. Attorney General William Barr even noticed and, “Claimed that the Washington press corps is on a ‘jihad’ against President Trump over his promotion of an anti-malaria drug to treat the novel coronavirus.”
This is simply a small battle in the larger war against all things Trump, which the left and the media (sorry to be repetitive) have been engaged in since June 2015 when candidate Trump rode down the escalator at Trump Tower announcing his candidacy.
Yet this battle is inexplicable, other than to be attributed to the novel Covfefe-45 virus, known to cause hysteria, irrationality, and loss of common sense.
Ever since President Trump began talking about hydroxy as a potential “game changing” treatment option for the Wuhan Coronavirus, the media has been treating this drug as a cross between cyanide and strychnine, warning of death to anyone who dares to take it, ironically in an attempt to avoid high probability death due to respiratory failure.
If Trump had never mentioned hydroxy, the media would view the drug favorably, or at least neutrally. But in the age of Trump, anything he favors is immediately despised and opposed by the left.

Someone posted a single report (the recent study from I believe, a Virginia university) saying that HCQ doesn’t work and has heart risks. The people there were absolutely giddy. Think about that for a minute. A possible cheap and easy cure is being considered and tested and one woefully flawed “study” says it doesn’t work and they are popping the champaign bottles.
One thing you can get banned for on that site is saying someone has TDS, but that whole thread was a textbook example of TDS on full display. It was comical.
We should have started to get real information about HCQ + azithromax + zinc weeks ago. New York, where most of the deaths have been, refused to use it early in the disease progression. They certainly did not publicize when they began to try it or if they used HCQ with one or both of the other drugs. Maybe they delayed hoping that something else would come up so that a drug mentioned by PDJT would not be given credit.
If it turns out that these drugs really do work as well as several studies around the world have indicated, Andrew Cuomo should at least be shunned. Instead, the propaganda press would just say that he was being cautious.

Look today, at the populations of India (huge population, malaria present, a huge proportion of the population takes or has taken (I think) Hydroxychloroquine as a prophelactic).

No, the democrats know that they MUST destroy the economy (er, destroy Trump) to have any chance of electing Biden. No, seriously, this drug is getting the flack that it is purely because of TDS. All the rest is just b.s.
Essentially, the left, if they are wrong here, is directly contributing to the deaths of thousands of people in nursing homes, those of greatest risk right now.

At first I thought it could be just under-reporting and under-testing, but a recent news report stated that funeral homes and crematoriums are reporting that business is way, way, down since India went into social distancing. We’re talking numbers on the order of 50% lower.
The reason is that accidents are way down. The article said that normally around six people die per DAY in Mumbai alone, just from train accidents. Murders are also down.
That doesn’t mean that Covid deaths aren’t underreported, of course, but they certainly aren’t experiencing a Wuhan situation which is surprising given the population density in India.
It could indeed be due to the high usage of hydroxychloroquine at least in part.

The problem, from what I can find is that CQ is used for treating some active malarial infections.
