Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced on Twitter Thursday that the state would be allowing certain businesses to reopen for limited operation, in light of encouraging data concerning the novel coronavirus.

Kemp, a Republican, made the announcement despite vocal opposition from President Trump, who said he disagreed with the decision but "at the same time he must do what he thinks is right."

"For weeks now, my team has worked closely with the Trump Administration and our federal counterparts to mitigate the impact of #coronavirus in Georgia. Our decisions and direction are informed by data and public health recommendations," he began.

I read the story and I still don’t know what these “certain businesses” are or why the Trump is advising Georgia to proceed with caution. What’s up with that?

During a lockdown, people prohibited from going places because those places are closed. When the places are open, are people required to go there, like buying Obama care? Or does it mean people can make individual choices about their behavior?

The way I look at it, one cannot just open wide the floodgates or all hell will break loose. Just do it gradually is what PDJT’s saying. Freepers think Trump said “FU NO, don’t open or I’ll have you arrested!” He didnt say that. (Obamatard would)

Just “ i disagree and do what you think is right”. There is ALWAYS room for caution. The closet Never Trumpers on FR always show up every day..

For Trump to win reelection, two things need to happen:

1. The election needs to go on in November as scheduled.

2. We have to curtail the Dem efforts at voter fraud made more possible by remote voting.

Therefore I am anxious that we gain momentum at returning to normal movement patterns.

I’ve been with Trump since before the golden escalator

I also agree with Kemp on this

It’s ok to criticize Donald Trump

Your questions are not listed in the story. I imagine of you go to the Government website in Georgia they will tell you which types of business are opening.

That story has little information but makes sure to let everyone know that President Trump does not agree with Governor Kemp. I think they do it just sow seeds of doubt and division among Republicans. It certainly is not very informative hence your question.

Trump said, and rightfully so, that it is up to the GOVERNERS to call the shots on the matter. That said, he should not interfere and not publicly criticize the governor. A phone call would be a better tactic. IMOHO

Kemp is saying 'Reopen' some businesses with Corona Precautions. Why doesn't the news report it that way - hmmmmmmmm??

This is what we can expect WHILE MANY BUSINESSES ARE DYING AND WON'T BE COMING BACK. Every state that tries to relax restrictions safely will be attacked. And every state that INCREASES RESTRICTIONS WILL BE APPLAUDED RIGHT UP TO WHEN THEIR ECONOMIES CRASH.

It’s a very wide range of commercial places including spas, gyms, tattoo Parris, hair salons. It also opens up medical facilities and allows hospitals to do elective surgeries and regular primary care procedures. Restaurants can open up on Monday

Trump disagreed with the tattoo parlors and gyms opening up not all of what is being done

Doesn’t matter georgia can do as it wishes

‘Just “ i disagree and do what you think is right”.

yeah, well, except that’s not what Trump did; on national TV, talking to a press corps that was eviscerating Kemp for daring to open things up,he said, several times and in no uncertain terms ‘I AM NOT HAPPY WITH BRIAN KEMP...’

governors like Cuomo, Wolf, Murphy, Whitmer, who have been flouting Trump’s ‘guidelines’ and trashing him at every turn, he says nothing about them; does he call them out by name on national TV and thunder about how unhappy he is...? no...? why not...? don’t you wonder about that...? but let a potential ally attempt to do exactly what Trump gave him the authority to do, and Trump can’t throw him under the bus fast enough...

‘Way to go governor. Party!’

nice job; you post a picture of something that happened weeks ago, in another state, and attempt to smear Kemp with it, in order to avoid the slightest critique of Trump...
