It would be interesting to know how much they get paid. Why are so many foreigners doing this sort of work. Is it because of low pay and tough working conditions, pay and working conditions that American born people don’t want to do? Just a thought.

They exist and more would take the job if it paid more. If you can’t afford to pay an American for an au pair then you don’t need one.
