All that is required is keeping New Yorkers in New York. It could require shotguns.

Blow up the bridges, destroy the train tracks out NYC and the landing strips at the airports.

Then, let the Coast Guard turn boaters trying to escape into swimmers.

Do the same with NJ.

I remember as kids (there were five of us!), my sister was the youngest. On every activity it was “Wait for your sister”. Of course she learned to relish her special status - that of the spoiler.

One of the most excruciating of my early memories was “Just hold your horses until your sister gets done” - all while she deliberately dawdled.

And now we have “provisions for phased reopening will rely on drawdown of reported cases from our worst-hit areas”.

Here I am eight years old again and waiting!

84% of the COVID 19 deaths in Nevada are in Clark County-—Las Vegs. Must be a DENSITY issue.

Yet, Las Vegas is screaming the loudest about getting reopened again!!!

Democrat Governor is from Las Vegas-—guess where the state will open first???

When this is all over and researchers start doing a post-mortem on the viral outbreak, I’d say we’re very likely to find that mass transit systems and elevators are the two most likely places where the virus is transmitted from one person to another.

Which is why it's such a brilliant idea for government to mandate everyone confine themselves together indoors!

Southern talking thru their nose is pretty funny as is a midwestern twang. Love the car park commercial with Boston accent.

FYI
Montana has 11 deaths associated with the controlavirus. State population just a little over 1 million. Most of those deaths concentrated in a rest home. Do the math.

I agree. Also mta workers were never given protection. Those same people that ride subways, buses, LiRR, NJtransit and MetroNorth to work brought it to the suburbs. In minority neighborhoods its bad. I know of a one family home where 5 famililies live it it
It

Last night on Tucker Carlson’s show, he spoke to a Fox contributor (don’t recall her name) who had texted the “Snitch line” to report homeless people literally living on the subway. Every day, the healthcare workers take the subway to work and have to share the cars with homeless people camped out on them. De Blasio’s office finally responded to her concern with “call the MTA” (which is not responsible for policing the subways, only running them). And they wonder why they have so many cases...

“To a New Yorker, Montana’s a great big waste of space.”

Lot’s of NY’er here in Montana...one area just east of Livingston has one of the highest concentrations of Ivy-leaguers in the country.

One of my clients an author with many books, a few movies and a current writer for the New Yorker has a nice spread there - just across the street from Tom Brokaw.

“84% of the COVID 19 deaths in Nevada are in Clark County...”

Another link to Montana...

William Andrews Clark opened a rail line from Salt Lake City to LA and needed an overnight stop so he created Las Vegas.

Clark was a copper ‘KIng’ from Montana, the first US senator ever to be censured and removed from the senate. He ran unopposed the next term.

At one time he had the largest home in NYC which is now a library.

In the early 80’s and in my 20’s, I had met a very beautiful young woman, Mary, from Morristown, NJ who had come out to Washington state with her friend to visit the friend’s father. We hit it off for the next week or so and she went back to NJ. Later that summer I drove out to NY to go to work in Oswego on the nuke plants they were building up there, so I figured I would swing into Morristown and pay her a visit.

She was the night auditor for the Gov. Morris Hotel and had to work so I waited for her in the bar. Of course at that time I had long blonde Sammy Hagar hairstyle and was very tanned. I no sooner got in the bar and was picked up by some chick who took me to her table with 5 other women. When they found out I was from the West Coast, they were clamoring with each other to see if they would be the “one” that night. Of course I completely forgot about my reason for being there until I got a tap on the shoulder from Mary’s friend telling me that Mary was finished with her shift.

I guess my point is the gals reaction to me was of disbelief in that some surfer looking dude from the west coast actually showed up in their town like a character in a book they had read or they had seen from TV, but didn’t believe actually existed.

A similar thing had happened a couple years prior to that with a couple of gal I “met” while driving through Cleveland in my 65 Vette. I had passed them on the freeway and they noticed my license plate from Washington. Next think you know we are on are way to a party.

Now Mary was a totally different creature....The kind that 36 years later makes a person wonder what if...

Having lived in NYC in the past, I can confirm everything he is saying. I’ve lived in 8 states and 4 foreign countries. I can unequivocally say NYers are THE most provincial people I’ve ever seen. They really do think NY is not only the center of the world but of the entire universe. It does not occur to them just how different every aspect of daily life is in America compared to how it is in NYC. They have no clue and do not even know what they don’t know.

Its no surprise the NYC based media takes the provincial NYers view of everything. I could not move away from that place fast enough - worst place I’ve ever lived. Easily.

Yes, that whole corridor (the Acela corridor) from Occupied Northern Virginia up through Boston is like that. Things would be so much better if they, Chicago, Miami and the Left Coast would just go their separate way.

Ding Ding Ding. Hammer meet nail.

That’s exactly what they would be doing. They would be gloating that this was causing death and destruction in Trump country. They would insist they were spared because they’re just oh so much more cultured and sophisticated you see.

But because its infesting their cities because they’re packed in like sardines, why....that means its a catastrophe everywhere! Its the end of the world! Total shutdown! The world does not exist outside of their little patch.
