Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says that posts and pages attempting to organize protests against stay-at-home orders will be banned as “misinformation.”
The Facebook CEO confirmed that the posts would be banned to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on a segment of Good Morning America.
Stephanopoulos asked Zuckerberg how the company deals “with the fact that Facebook is now being used to organize a lot of these protests to defy social distancing guidelines in states. If somebody trying to organize something like that, does that qualify as harmful misinformation?”
“We do classify that as harmful misinformation and we take that down,” confirmed Zuckerberg, while at the same time saying that it’s important “that people can debate policies.”
A Facebook spokesman confirmed to CNN that planned protests in California, New Jersey, and Nebraska were having their pages removed from Facebook at the request of state authorities.

At some point, some Patriot is going to get tired of this Elitist crap (not to mention the GOP leadership and Trump’s failure to put a stop to the abuses) and use it as a reason to start assassinating these elitist wannabe-tyrants - and start the next American Revolution or Civil War......

Funny how FB is not legally responsible for it’s own content, but also can censor what people post. Time for this contradiction to come to a head. The right to peaceably assemble, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

If so, then legislation ought to require Facebook to be regulated as a public utility, since it acts neither as a “free” enterprise nor does it believe speech should not be regulated by the government, but instead should exist only with government approval.
If civil disobedience is disbanded from social media, then social media is not a free speech platform.
No FB and the rest of the internet monsters like goog, Insta, youtube, and all cell phone providers and rest need to be made into utilities . PRONTO
I make it a point to be a voice for the point that LAWSUITS ARE NOT magic, and slapping the title “class action” onto a claim that has o merit does not have magical effect. Take a look at their Terms of Service, section 3, subsection 2. That’s what they’re relying on here. I see no tenable level claim against them

BS I run 3 groups there and it has enabled me to converse with tens of thousands of like minded people.

Trump should order a takeover of Facebook under the Defrense Production Act and make it a government entity thus ensuring free speech in social media. If Facebook wants to censor all dissenting thought then they should be treated as a government entity subject to first amendment limitations.
In the interim we need to find an alternative social media outlet.
BTW with all the new commie totalitarians that have infected this forum, is there any of you who applaud Facebook for their actions?
Speak up. You know who you are. Those of you who are such chicken littles that you would surrender all your rights just to keep yourself free from this virus. Speak up. Tell us that Zuckerberg is doing the nation a favor.

For the first time in my life I am witnessing CONSERVATIVES being able to protest in mass numbers.
Before this shutdown we were unable to just up and leave our jobs to protest.
For the first time we are on an equal playing field with the mostly (by choice) unemployed LIBERALS.
They have always been able to show up at a moments notice to protest/riot because they don’t work regular jobs like we do.
This shutdown has produced an awesome opportunity for conservatives to get our points across in law abiding, peaceful protests!
I’ve already messaged the White House.
Suggest all of you do the same.
